Microtech knives are worth more than they ask, are incredibly durable and easily the best knives on the market - I stopped buying the big knife companies and only concentrate on Microtech and an occasional Chris Reeve and Medford - everything else in my opinion isn’t worth the time. The Glykon is phenomenal!

That Recon is the best overall knife on your table. Microtech is over hyped and overpriced. I’ve found their switches are often loose out of the box. Clips are crooked (bent) can’t straighten even with glass break tool. Their edges are often uneven and their customer support is🗑️Wouldn’t be an issue if they weren’t so overpriced. Anthony needs to maintain his lavish lifestyle. Sad thing is the Kershaw Livewire is a substantially better value if one doesn’t want to spring for a Recon

Howdy, ya pay for what you get, this means everything is 100% Made in the USA. Everything means the packaging, the screws, etc. all made in the USA. One huge thing that was neglected is the most revolutionary aspect of this Microtech creation and that is the guts. The blade has no play and why is that you may ask? It is because of the genius design that works with a ball-Berrings mechanism If you ever even touched an OTF, you would know that the blade is floppy in order to jump out and jump back into the handle. The Glykon is the next generation of OTF knives. It's a new idea and it's here and you totally missed it. Yes, the proprietary screws have been replaced with a standard screw type. Yes, the Tri button is new as well but the Huge difference is not visible and is revolutionary. Look the reason ya pay big bucks for a blade is not just for the blade, it's for the designers the engineers the artist that it takes to create something truly special. If ya want China metals with rinky dinky designs and are not concerned with everything being imported then you definitely don't want to spend the extra money on a Microtech.

this is prob late but regarding the kershaw it could be that the pivot is too tight, just un-tighting a little bit should help with that, i have a stiletto that i got a long time ago that had the same issue with needed alot of force to open, and i also added some superlube on top of loosening the pivot ever so slightly and it works alot better now.
Love the knife but for the price they definitely should have included the tool to unscrew the pocket clip to switch sides

Bought one of these and had it 4 days and the blade got stuck about a 1/2 inch sticking out of the handle!Could not flick it out or back in!Never cut anything with it and only opened and closed it about 2 dozen times and frozen in the handle and brand new! I would not trust this knife! Sent it back and got a guardian tactical recon 40,and that was the best decision I have ever made! This thing is a beast! And smooth as silk! My favorite knife now!and tried and true!!Just Saying! Lol

Dhgate is a scam website that sells Microtech clones, and not the actual glykon.
That's a production model, not signature. If it was 550 or less it's not a signature series.
Makora is trchnically a SS at a price of just over 400 also has no claw on it as well. But the box is also different with the makora so your prob right not a SS

I still find it amusing that people who only see things at face value when it comes to the knives this company makes. As much as I have an appreciation for the brand, and as much as I would like to spend upwards of 3 grand on a marfione custom combat interceptor at the end of the day it’s just a production gen 2 combat troodon just at a higher tax bracket.
I am under the impression that all those are signature series. I didn’t hear you mention that, but can you check and let me know? I’ve just ordered one and I can’t wait to get it in. I don’t know if it’s signature series because of the nickel boron internals. I couldn’t really tell what the claw logo looks like. The claw logo is different on signature series models.

Your best bet might just be a Facebook group like Knives: Buy•Sell•Trade or maybe on eBay, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Hope that helps, but sometimes it’s just impossible to get your hands on specific knives

I've had the Fox 479 for a couple of years. It's a little big for my med size hand. Today I got the Fox 599 in the mail. Perfect fit. Both are top quality. The fastest folder there is using the Emerson opener that catches on the pocket. These will not be used for anything but self defense to preserve the razor edge. LOVE BOTH !

The lock stick on mine was worse than I've ever seen on a knife. I turned the stop pin just a tiny bit (the screw above the pivot) and now it's perfect. I've never had that happen on any of the many compression lock knives that I've acquired over the years.
Marks on the blade are Sal Glasser and Eric Glasser's intials/logo
They signify who designed the knife. In this case, Sal & Eric designed the Paramilitary 2.
Some black hardware would make that carbon fiber look better.
For sure. They make a black coated version of this knife too, but it wasn’t available so I got the satin finish instead.

That lock stick and tightness will work itself out, sometimes compression locks come with good out of the box action but more often than not they require a break in period

IMO the best way to clean your leather boots is with sadle soap, it makes the leather look suple and it cleans really good, i litterally just did my IRON RANGERS today, with saddle soap and a bit of leather conditioner after, great video
