I applaud Eric Clapton to keep making his music availalble in a manner that meets his own standards. Eric remains a perfectionist unlike other aging artists and he has gotten family and friends he can trust to fill in as he approaches 80 and deals with arthritis and other issues Eric will still be touring in South Americal, Central America and California this fall.

Thank you for yet another wonderfully insightful commentary. One could never live long enough nor hear the Beethoven quartets enough to fully extract their joys, sorrows, and meaning. Each listening is a new adventure.

The Cavatina is my idea of perfect funeral music.

I greatly appreciate Sasha's insights into this, one of the greatest pieces in the history of art.

Quite apart from the wonderfully alive and dynamic performance the recording engineer must be complimented for their handling of the dynamic range. Many years ago I had a quartet coaching week on this quartet. The results were nothing like this. I missed not a note of your superb performance. Maybe Beethoven imagined it like this but he could not have heard it like this even had he not been deaf.

Intro is enlightening and enriching to the listening experience of your wonderful quartet. Thank you.
