How Accurate Is the Tennis in Challengers?
Challengers is doing the same thing to tennis that The Hunger Games and Brave did to archery.
But how accurate is the tennis? Shoutout to actors Zendaya, Josh O'Connor, and Mike Faist for their extensive tennis and weightlifting regiments to prepare for this movie.

Mystery Movies Left Unsolved - Burning vs. The White Ribbon

Movie detectives gather all the suspects into a room and reveal who the killer is. It’s a hallmark of mystery movies! But what if there’s another way? What happens when the guilty person is never revealed? 2018’s Burning and 2009’s The White Ribbon are uninterested in answering “whodunnit?” because they delve into deeper questions than that. These two movies teach us how to subvert tropes and b...

That series was ok. Entertaining. Not multiple Emmy nominations level IMO. But the Emmys lost all credibility when they let the ultra serious, depressing show The Bear run as a comedy.

Seriously how long dose it take people to figure out the second couple were going to try to kill them? That's right 2 seconds and the fact that they fell for it is a ridiculous plot line. These are horrible people and apparently really stupid as well. The rest of it was painful tedious dialog for 15 or 20 minutes, overacted by the second couple, the mission is 2 minutes and more painful dialog in bed for 5 times longer then it needed to be. This show could have half hour episodes and maybe I would continue to watch it. I really tried to like it but as it sits now no thank you. People seem to like it and that's fine I just don't understand why and I guess that's on me .

Hi, I am a person who understands the sport. That serve motion was actually used by some pros. Reasons: injuries or difficulties on serve. Yes that technique is indicated for players who have difficulties in doing the right biomechanics. Players who used that serve motion: Fillipo Volandri, Rogério Dutra Silva, Mariano Zabaleta and Franco Squilari. In 1992, Andre Agassi used that serve motion in some games.

Your premise is wrong. They aren't subverting screenwriting rules because it's not a spy show. It is a show about relationships. Couples and in-laws. Arranged marriages, really. It is just wrapped in a spy show to get people to watch. It is why the very first scene is a dude getting his face shot off followed by 30 minutes of dialogue. They just needed something upfront to rope in a broad audience before they "boring" stuff which actually makes the show good. They know they would lose people if they started with the dialogue. Another great example of this is the episode after this one where they are protecting an old man who gets put into the back seat of the car buy Jane, whines about wanting his cigarettes, wets himself, won't wear clothes that are itchy, throws up after dinner, goes to bed before John and Jane while they sneak outside to smoke and talk quietly about having children while working their crazy jobs. If you haven't picked up on it, the old man is a stand in for a baby which Jane takes care of while claiming she does not want to have children while John who wants children is constantly frustrated with the old man the entire time.

I realize this video is 2 months old, so I don’t know if this comment will really be seen, but did anyone other than me find issue with the fact that the [*SPOILER WARNING*] finale’s plot was contingent upon the toilet seat being left up?!? For a show that was otherwise so smart, this is such an oversight by the writers and seemingly smart spies. It makes no narrative sense. Why would *any* spy be so careless, first of all, but more to the point, why/how is it that John immediately suspects Jane in light of this. It makes no sense for so many reasons. She wouldn’t do that as a spy, as a very stringent person, and *moreover* AS A FREAKIN WOMAN! It’s arguably silly that this one detail was so frustrating for me, but I wish it had been any other tell, because it really makes no narrative sense. Anybody else w/ me?!?!
