Any advice for bank angler at this lake?

We have a 15 ft ski boat that we fish out of and i cant stand the wake boats. They throw 2 to 3ft wakes and if you hit those wakes fast you better hang on.

great job staying with it, we are going to try to fish this upcoming weekend if the weather permits it. keep on fishing!

alan henry was ruined when they put spots in there...and you cant get on and off the lake on the weekends ... you couldnt pay me to fish that lake on labor day/// or the 4th is is a shit show with jet skis and wake boats...used to be a great place to go...but now...its a joke.

yes it does I own a lake house there and it lies down all the time and that is when I catch the bigguns.

I own a lake house on the lake and i catch a lot of 8 pounders and lots of 6 pounders to on crankbaits at the old powerplant and in rocky areas.

congrats on a nice bass. Just found your channel. Been wanting to start fishing JB thomas some. Been going to alan henry and fishing crappie at the fish house but wanting to get away from the crowd a bit. Would love to see some crappie fishing on JB thomas and some tips/tricks. We dont have a motorized boat, but can try our luck with a canoe/ trolling motor attached if we get low wind days. Is that conceivable? Also curious what the fees are and is there a place nearby to get bait/minnows if we wanted to run live bait? thanx. Alan henry fees are pretty high...whats the cost to get into JB thomas?

So thats the verdict huh. just like that. Im 47 years old and ive been going to JB since i was 10 or so. Of course the lake has been through tough times most of them years but not lately. I mainly fish crappie & catfish these days so I cant speak on the bass other than stocking #'s from TX Parks & Wildlife. I just hope your not sticking a label on my home lake just cause the fish pattern didnt happen as you had planned.
