one of the most important sieges in human history in just 2.5min, voiced by a text-2-speech program. the voice is annoying, i'd rather read a book. and the history itself is an over-simplification of an over-simplification. might as well say "in 1453 the ottomans besieged and conquered the capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. the end". not much else going on. and for the Love of God, why call it Istanbul? its name was Constantinople. the city was first named Islambol in 1730 on some coins, but it would be officially named Istanbul in the 1920s by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. none of that is here. if you want subscribers, you gotta work for it.

This is a lovely buttery spin on the event. There's no evidence that Constantine was a Christian at the time of this event. Even later, the victory arch he built to celebrate his assumption of the entire empire away from Maxentius lacks the one key Christian "sign" of that event at the Milvian Bridge: The Chi-Ro that was supposedly Constantine's vision for triumph. Why wouldn't he put that on the arch dedicated TO that triumph? There are ZERO Christians symbols on it; however, there are Phrygian symbols all over it. And the edict mostly prohibited Saturday worship--why? Because the Christians were keeping the sabbath as the Jewish sect that it was.
