How To Build the Best Cold Tub Plunge in 2024 (Under $2000!)
มุมมอง 31K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
This Simple Cold Tub build took me less than an hour to put together, and it has me hooked! I love it, and use it almost every day. It is made of a grizzly cooler, and has filtration and a water chiller to adjust temperature. All in, it cost me less than $1800. Hope you enjoy this video. When I switched to the Saucony Endorphin Pro 2 with a carbon fiber plate, my mile pace dropped instantly. I went from running an 8:30 pace for years to over night, runnng sub 7:45 minute miles. I'm not endorsed or affiliated with this shoe, I just like talking about quality products in my life!

Do not follow this build list for the grizzly 450!!!! Miss cut my cooler because of it! 18 inches Puts you on an uneven seam! And the union fitting doesn't reach though it!
Awesome thanks for the info parts list please
$1800!?😂 Anyone who can afford to spend thousands of dollars for a cold tub is probably only 15% of those wanting one. Build one for a few hundred and then will you could reach the remaining 85%.
Great work. I keep thinking about a safety feature that disconnects power when you open the lid. This cooler set up with integrated lid would be perfect for that.
Thanks for posting. Doing this with my wife for honeymoon, wanted to see if it was safe/fun
Yo man, your talking about hard. Let’s get those shoulders in, how about those hands? Head dunk? Break the thermal barrier. Takes balls to even get in the water. Good job
I almost bought one of these, glad I dodged that bullet.
How did you get it all for 1800 dollars? The plunge is 1600 with shipping and taxes
Hey man, would love the parts list. This is awesome!
How often do you need to clean it or change the filter?
Looks damn peaceful! Great video
exactly the video i’ve been looking for. please send parts list
Lol please just plug it
What filter are you using. The one that came with my cullingam in your parts list keeps tapping out after a week
Great video, thanks. I am going to try to build the same one. After 6 months, would you do anything differently? Does the hydrogen peroxide really do the trick for keeping water clean? I see a lot of people using ozone instead.
No drilling required th-cam.com/video/rRjQWhHPkOY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=O_CzcMH29hjBWUtv

So funny enough, I had this happen to my kindle scribe. Ordered and used for about 2 months and then it just had the same exact issue. Couldn't get any of the trouble shooting to work and they sent me a brand new one (not refurbished) and I sent the 1st one back and have not had a single issue at all. I am thinking about getting a Remarkable Pro to run alongside my scribe. I love it and the reading is great but the file management and not being able to adapt different templates per page in a single notebook is extremely limiting.
I don't know man. I had the Kindle Scribe, and it just didn't fit the bill for me. It's trying to do two things simultaneously (reading and writing), but in reality does poorly in both. It's kinda like an all-in-one soap that doesn't clean your hair or body well, lol.
Would love the parts list if possible.
Dude, thank you!
I like how this is very modular, you can swap parts out very easily, well maybe not the chest but hey ho :-D
That's too bad. It looks like an interesting product that I would consider, but now, probably not.
too bad the grizzley tub is not for sale anymore. I have yet to find a cooler tht size in germany. and isnt´ 1/4HP a tad on the "weak" side ? others claim that you would need at least 1/2HP. ... but: awesome setup I have to admit
this all seems to be outdated now. they dont carry the grizzly 400 anymore. they dont even show it on the grizzly page. the replacement seems to be the 450 that is 1300 retail. also a 1/4 chiller does not make for a very cold cold plunge.
I just had to replace the filter. Only after about a month of usage. I’m wondering two things. What’s the right model filter to use and whether the GPM flow is compatible with the pump. I knew something was wrong when my ozone generator stopped sending bubbles in. Removed the filter and turned back on and wow there was flow. Testing out two different types of filters coming up.
Please send me the parts list thanks
Great setup! How do you refill/dump the water?
Excellent video. Does the filter being horizontal as opposed to vertical effect the filtering process?
Parts list please 🎉
how well is it holding up , I live in Colorado and the temp gets in the 100 in the summer will it keep it cold ?
Thanks!
Very interested in the parts list please
I am so there with you! A waste of money. I am trying to get them to take it back... I'm way over the 100 day window
Would this work without drilling the tub? I could just put the intake/output hoses over the top?
Looks like a great design. If you could send the parts list that would be great. Nice job!
Thanks for the video. I've been looking into cold plunging for a while. I would like to build one and I came across you video. I would like to get the parts list and give it a try. Cheers.
Thanks for the parts list. I bought a transfer pump from Lowes and it is LOUD! and only pumps 240 GPH (5.5 GPM). I'm going to get the pump you used. Seems super quiet, which excites me.
List please
Looked at your description for the cooler size. Man, I need a bigger cooler as I am 6’1” 183 and considered using the cooler I have several Months ago, but it’s too small. Thanks
Can you send me the parts list?
Reviews a refurbished product: wonders why it doesn’t work properly
Does the pump in the filter compete or work against the pump in the chiller?
The Grizzly 450 is now on sale FYI. The other interesting feature of the 450 is two drains on both ends of the tub, so in theory we don't need to drill a hole. Just use both drains. I'll post more when I'm finished building.
Any updates on the build?
@@dc2850waiting on a few parts
Just bought a grizzly 450 as well. I am curious how your build goes. It would be nice to know what different you do with your setup using the two bottom drain plugs and the types of connections/adapters you use to connect to the drain plugs. Let me know how it goes and your updated parts list. Thanks a bunch man!
@@cpowell2433grizzly actually sells the conversation fitting for the drains.
I have the 450 as well. Did you do your setup yet? Trying to avoid drilling into the new cooler.
would love the parts list and any tips you have
Tool.
can I get away with a smaller pump, 950gph seems like overkill?
THE PARTS LIST IS IN THE DESCRIPTION!!!
How is anyone spending over $500 on this project??? 2nd hand chest freezer plus inflatable spa pump (which are super cheap once the spa is unusable) plus an inkbird controller. Seriously, some sealant and you're good, honestly I think $200 would be overkill.😂
Are you using 20 or 50 micron filters? I have the same set up but noticing flow issues with the 20 micron filters.
