You don’t need to use paper clips at all. That’s only used for headliners when you don’t have someone to help you Just use good glue and it sticks on contact

Looked at many. Only regret passing up an 89 in good shape 3 years ago for $1500.. but found a much more livable 2000 Cabrio that I was surprised how much I liked it all around. It’s automatic. But very clean. Like that is is a GL, no power windows or top, or cracked up leather. Also have a 92 16v GTI that I’ve owned over 24 years.
