I ran for my life and went dark. I did go back to get my valuables and gave him a little supply. The second time i went back to get more stuff i was doing better. He looked like a shadow of a man. Drained, weak and of course...impotent. Im going one more time next week. And if youre wondering why im doing this....we live in a foreign country. All my valuables, irreplaceable things are in that house of horrors. Im acting like I didn't figure him out...he still has to give me half of everything. Which is actually mine since he didn't work in 15 years. So, in my case...wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove until I get my half. My trauma bond is broken. It took 2 months. It happened in a moment, in a flash, listening to a song ..."Fool like you" At that moment, I realized that he didn't just want to destroy me. He wanted me dead. When your survival instincts kick in, trauma bond is out the door. Since then, when I think about him, I feel nothing but repulsed...when 2 months ago I was waiting by the phone forgetting to breathe. Yet I have to play the role a bit to get something that belongs to me in the first place. Is sad when you realize what they are. You are split between pitty and revulsion. At least that where i am right now. He underestimated me, yet I rose above in peace, love, self-love, kindness, confidence, and radical self-acceptance. I did the work, and Im free. I am the storm that no longer ask for his permission. I am the mountain that cannot be moved. I WAS THAT ALL ALONG...HE ONLY BLINDED ME Him on the other hand, will be the scared little boy who never was.

This is relatable even if you haven't dated a narcissist, but rather grew up with a narcissistic family. After the cruel treatment I've received this year, the most difficult year of my life, I have had absolutely ENOUGH of my narcissistic dud and golden child sister. Goodbye FOREVER. I want to heal, but it's been very difficult after being retraumatized several times. I've been losing sleep for weeks because of them.

Hi Christine, You are so very right. I am a born again christian for over 45 years meaning I gave my life to the Lord. With him I would not have gotten through brain surgery, spine surgery and 2 other surgeries I had. I also have a. narcissistic sister who made my life hell because of my disability until I deceided to change for the better and have brain surgery and after surgery 25 years of CBT which has made me mature and independent for the rest of my life !

Do deliverance really work on them? My ex narc divorced me. I tried everything. I let her swot to become a Spiritual counselor. I'm today exactly divorced for 8 years. And she is still doing hoovering and smear complains and she acts every time different. Thanks God I'm free

I always wondered why the narc never tried to understand me. Only used all of my insecurities against me, used everything against me. He discarded me and a few months later he says "you never asked me to come back here, not once." My response was why would I, you have wanted this for years and years. The damage these people do is barbaric.

It’s unbelievable that I heard this today. I was messed up last night over exactly this! I am/was struggling with the hurt of her trauma bonding and my loneliness. I’ve listened to a lot of podcasts and most of them are just knowledge of narcs, but this addresses our pain and how to deal with it! Donielle I know you hear this a lot, because it’s true. i actually made them dump me and i walked away after 3 weeks i got a hoover but never responded. Not sure where they are in life probably more chaos and destruction but glad im out and healed

well done as she describes, i'm glad i got out after 9 months. took months of therapy and self reflection which led to a spiritual awakening and my life purpose. So they acted as a catalyst for my new journey. In a strange way im thankful!

My narcissist neighbor friend ghosted me for at least 3 months and yesterday she wouldn’t stop talking to me and asking questions and acting like nothing’s ever happened. How do I deal with this?

This has been my lifetime. My only sister is a pathological narcissist and it's been a hell ride to figure this out for 40 years and it's the most irritating angering thing that I have been putting up with and I just cannot do it anymore.
