And given their economic level and levels of exposure to the New Age Movement and intelligentsia in the US I highly doubt that any Yaqui person, even less a sorcerer living in a remote village in Mexico, is going to have heard of our CC and his Don Juan Matus.

The conflict grew so tense some counties offered bounties to kill the bears. Eventually, California grizzlies-a subspecies of brown bear-were hunted, poisoned, and trapped to local extinction. The rancher never mentioned that arrows were found in his dead sheep, his story was bullshit.. There has never been a human killed by a brown in CA.. a Cal black bear has been documented killing and devouring a woman-inside her home. the Downieville incident is now the first documented fatal attack by a black bear in California history. In the 1850's for pleasure..... people in ca would go to the bear and bull fights, which was the main event, with an undercard of cockfighting and dogfighting to whet the crowd's appetite for death.
