Thank you for your comment. No its not aluminium. Its stainless steel. I've been using it for years. It's actually just lye lint. I had a good few days of making soap in a row and didn't need to rinse the jug out in between uses. I'm fully aware of lye safety and that lye and aluminium don't mix well plus 7 years of soaping experience and lots of research before I started making made me aware of what to do and what not to do. Thank you for your comment and concern though 💛 it's most appreciated 😊

It's such a lovely ingredient to work with. This soap was for a wholesale order, I cannot wait to use some sea moss in my own bars. The off cut was amazing to use!! So bubbly, so creamy and smooth and left a lovely feel on my hands 😃💛

Thank you for your comment, it's something I'll think about changing in the future. I chose white for a few reasons, I have it to match my brand colours and any other colour i tried looked worse than the white to read. I don't usually put text in, it's just something I've given a go to show what I'm doing. Also majority of the soap videos i watch from other makers use white text so it felt right. But apologies if it wasn't comfortable for you.

Thank you for the suggestion. I will consider this for future videos. I have chosen the white as its part of my branding. But maybe I could also add a shadow around it to make the words pop a bit more. I unfortunately don't give away my recipe as this has taken me years to develop. My videos are more to showcase what I've made rather than a teaching source. There are some great channels out there though that do give their recipes freely. I would highly recommend Soap & Clay. From my understanding it's Indefinite as the nature and pH of the soap doesn't allow bacteria or mould to grow. And the process of adding lye to the ingredients including the fresh foodie type ingredients kills off anything that could have already been lingering in the fresh food. The trick is to ensure its fully blended to a Smoothie consistency and strain out any lumps.because of there are full lumps of in this case banana that don't get touched by the Lye, then those spots will likely become rancid. So preparation and straining out lumps is very important to ensure a long lasting bar 💛

I did do a water discount for the weight of the bananas yes. But I don't think you need to as its a thick pure when it goes in. I did it more for the volume of my mould.

It's Banana by Fresh Skin Beauty. It's got just the right balance of foam banana sweets to the real fresh scent of banana. I only added a small amount in as I wanted the real banana scent to shine through the bars. So it was added as a little back up really 😅 but they do smell delicious 😊
