hey Mike, yeah it was a good time out there last weekend. it did seem like I was down a little on power and top end. I could never get close to my personal best at VIR the whole weekend.

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah it was clear to me pretty quickly that porsche and the cars in front of him had very little awareness and respect for the other cars out there. That's why I just came in to get some clear track away from them. I totally agree it's sadly all too common at TNIA. And no the guy did not come over and apologize in the paddock 😅

@@pointbypatrol was looking at the last TrackDaze event of the year in early Nov. I like that event because it's one day on grand course. Haven't signed up yet though

I switched a year or so back to hawk DTC60 (front) dtc30 (rear). I saw the same thing with the powerstop track day pads. They would fade after a few laps. They also wore extremely fast and I was replacing pads all the time. I didn't realize my video description still said I was using those!

@@thatsMrStavy ah, that makes sense. Mine seemed to wear pretty fast too, so I'm switching to G-LOCs for next weekend. I've heard good things, so hopefully the performance and longevity can justify the price difference with the Powerstops!

No, it was just a very violet hit on the curbing for my left front. The dirt in front of that curbing had been eroded away so it was a slight hole before the curb that made it abrupt. Surprisingly I didn't get any damage from it

Thanks man! My car is mostly stock, drivetrain is 100% stock other than a cold air inductions intake. Running goodyear eagle f1 supercar 3 tires (285 front, 305 rear). Same exact tires that come factory on 6th gen 1LE's. Hawk brake pads (DTC60 front, DTC30 rear). Z/28 aero and Z/28 brake ducts. Bolt in roll bar, bucket drivers seat, 6pt harness. I've mainly just been focused on seat time, picked up a second or so each year for the past couple years with little or no changes to the car.

@@thatsMrStavy Yeah, I picked up those supercar 3 tires last year and all I can say is...what an amazing tire! I was there with the Track Daze folks just after you and ran into a fella named Kevin in a black 6th gen ZL1 with tons of aero that also did your event. He was kind enough to give me a ride along doing 2:07s and I'm sure he wasn't pushing hard at all. That was an eye opener for sure. Now that I've watched your video and that ride with Kevin, I'm going to try to make it to the 2:10s this next trip in May -- I am going to cheat and try to pick up some 3Rs tho! Thanks for the response and hope to run into you out there one day.

@@rutledge1chris awesome, yeah I think you'll see big improvement with the 3R's. I want to try those out myself soon! My buddy switched to a square 305 setup of 3R's on his fifth gen and loves it.

Thanks! Yeah unfortunately I never had a truly clean lap the whole day. Grand is fun, I definitely recommend trying it out. Full course is still my favorite though!
