Why not start with inspection plug first ? In addition What is the recommended Preventive maintenance interval? Thirdly cavitation should occur around a circumstance what do you mean when you say it appears on both sides of the impeller?

Winding resistance variation should be less than 10%. FLS has been upgraded and should be replaced. Continuity should be checked first because an open circuit will show high insulation on the megger test. The green behind the tandem mechanical seal is from the main bearing. All O rings should be replaced on assembly. Another cause of cavitation could be the pump inlet to sump floor being too small.

We have cooling water leak from the bottom of the pump. What could be the problem? The pump was removed due to overheating alarm. There was not water left in the jacket. After adding coolant it simply drained from the bottom of the pump.

You should consider getting a tear down tank. Makes tear down and quote a lot easier

Some of the way you guys install the bearings and seals are concerning. I have been repairing Flygt pumps for 9 years and i would suggest SKF TMFT 36 bearing installation kit, works great for seals to. It gets scary when you are using a metal pipe for installing the bearing because this could flake metal into the ball bearing and create premature failure.
