The Invention of Ambience...
One of my pieces......Jez H plays great Sax which I switched up to sound like a trumpet.!
I thought Alan Davey was Fab in Hawkwind . He really made the band. Saw them many times and he nailed it every time.
8 Motorhead (band) fans were too quick with the upside down thumb action.
An excellent album.
Best sounds in 28 yes cuming alive at 55
Take me out to space**Bo**
I was at this show with my best friend Amanda. What an amazing night! We were one of the screamers in the crowd, I love Jon Crosby ❤️
best part of the trip..the best part I really like...
Thought this was a jazz warm up session.Give me old Hawkwind any time
Diversity be damned!
Which one? Every few years their sound has changed. Sometimes every album.
@@ian_b We all like different times of Hawkwind but my personal choice Is from their first album up to about 1985
@@tonyrob86 Sure, but their sound changed massively during that time, we had the drones of the first album, some pyschedelia, Doremi (personal fave) is drving power chord stuff, Warrior is faux-prog, then the later Calvert years are pop-rock and "armchair Hawkwind", then the post-punk guitar rock of Live 79, then some albums of synth noodling, then in 85 is the very metal Chronicle. I mean, you'd hardly call Quark, Strangeness and Charm the same style as Paranoia.
@@ian_b My personal choice and I'm sticking to what I like
Years later, this song still kicks you right in the heart.
Exelente cancion,muy buenos acordes fantastica
quality tune
Thought I,d heard most of the Hawks songs and then this happens brilliant thanks for posting luv it.
La mejor canción para la perdida de un ser querido
Any idea what the instrument was that was used in the old Magnu track from the Warrior on the Edge of Time album? It seems like there were two different wind instruments, one traditional sax, then there's one that's much higher pitched and plays much faster (sounds crazy around 5:30, 5:42, and again at 6:15 in the track)
Nik also used an alto-sax.
Brilliant!
Reminds me ALOT of "Camel" [...Great Band ! ] Thanx for posting.... S. Dik
Thanks - glad you like it. It's a great track with a real spaced-out ethereal quality to it.
Hi Jez, nice one, it's probably my favourite track on TMTYL.
Superb effort from Alan Davey
Hey - that's me on the sax on this track - soprano sax put through a sound module .... :~) Jez Huggett
