Such a shame there is no sound, especially given it was a lovely christening…and particularly given Rev Dr Baxendale had commented that family and friends overseas were watching. Can only assume the live stream had no sound either…

Why is there no sound?

Fully agree Douglas and have also made my views known - politics and the pulpit do not mix and I was horrified at the judgemental and non forgiveness of our minister - Jesus reaches of love and forgiveness and the footballer in question was not found criminally guilty

What happened to Christian values? What offence did David Goodwillie commit in the past 11 years? What ever happened to rehabilitation and forgiveness? Is a young man who is supposed to have committed an offence to have the rest of his life ruined for things that he may have done over 10 years ago and for which he has already paid a heavy price? You speak of abuse of power but you use that very thing to politicise your sermon. Try to remember that you are not a judge or a politician. Please stick to being a clergyman and try to stick to Christian values instead of taking⁷ sides in legal and political matters.

Had a thought, I know what you look like. As we are in tier four and there is ice and snow outside, but I am the person who usually walks with crutches doesn't wear a mask. As I am exempt,, have a cheeky sense of fun, see the oddity in life, but I have my faith, I also drive a blue tuscon, act like a child, and occasionally go out round bothwell. In an electric scooter. I talk to most people if you feel you need my help. Do what you do, send an email contact Ellen butterry my elder. We will survive. Agnes

If you know your chocolates you will have seen I missed the Twix! It is suppose to remind us that as Jesus was born and the angels shared the news heaven and earth came together a little like the biscuit and the caramel.

I haven't listened to the last two services. I would like to thank bothwell parish church for the meal left at my door at 26 Fife court, it was lovely. And I enjoyed as I wasn't expecting it. I also listened to the talk on tv. About not singing. The virus is causing lots of problems. I sing in. My house, I open the windows. I try and go out once a day. But whatever life throws at us, can I say with our faith, prayers, compassion and sense of humour I will do my best to remember what. And why we celebrate on the 25th December. I sincerely hope too see you all soon. Agnes

Very reassuring that we are now able to sing the carols as you are giving us the words. Thank you. I am enjoying taking part in the services, the lord's prayer, the sermon, and the readings, and yes like you I was amazed that we were supposed to forget what Christmas is about. As Christian's we all have our own problems, but with the reassurance that services, church, and faith we will succeed in this very different world. Thanks. Agnes

Yes you are right I did not watch the service, until the evening off the day before the second Sunday in advent. I have to say that I enjoyed the service, you are giving us thought provoking sermons, and reminding us that our faith is important, also our compassion after the tragedy that happened in the village this week. And to ask for our lord's. Help and strength to cope, and as you pointed out, we are all together in life faith and daily and evening. Agnes

earlier today watching and listening, i find the reading the readings easier, and the prayers meaningful, lockdown is a testing time for all, but if our faith waivers then we can watch bothwell church service and help us get back on track. you may feel you are alone but i for one am glad i can join you,, when i feel like it.. Well I am glad to hear the lord's prayer has slowed down. Reflection on our faith is also alive and well,, not often that we hear the minister mention ''god, Jesus at the same time'' I would also like to thank him for mentioning those who may be suffering mental anxiousness are not alone.
