Yellow boys are gonna love it but i did test them too.Flex was a bit better!especially in wood drilling. tested them with 6ah stack for flex and 9ah flexvolt for dewalt.And for concrete not much difference.im not a dewalt fan but honestly i dont like the way they connected the chuck to the shaft!

They just released a table saw, chop saw , and have deals on ohio power tool. I think their fine overall they probably broke even

There was a big sale on Flex and the only sign in the store that said it was an 8x11 print on the shelf. I went over to just look at the tools and would have had no clue there was a sale

I like my flex stuff but they need a faster release cycle than yearly also they need to get into more stores than Lowe’s. Ace hardware would be great as well as Menards

Lowes was already pushing Kobalt and had something to be proud of with the XTR line. I think we can safely say the optics are that they abandoned further Kobalt development for Flex. Anyone that thought Kobalt was going places is going to be jaded by this and have no faith that if Flex has a bad sales quarter Chervon won't abandon it. Chevron's marketing schizophrenia makes it hard for some to get personally invested in their lines.

No name recognition. I thought it was something that got popular on amazon like kimo or tacklife. It's also a small line and there is not much information about it which makes it a risky purchase.

Just use your Hercules and be happy..quit tryn to get people to not buy Dewalt or any other brand.its stupid and a waste of time..its their money..just because you can't afford better...live your own life..

So far, the only Flex product I own is their cordless fan with a 2.5 amp hour battery and I’m pretty happy with it. I think another issue Flex has is that they don’t have as many deals/promotions going on compared to brands like DeWalt, Kobalt, and even Craftsman.

Flex makes too good of tools to go away. At least 5 of their tools are industry-leading in terms of power/performance. It is a new brand, 3 years old, and it will take at least 1 full life cycle of a newly bought battery for the general public to have the option pop up if switching platforms. That said, Flex is definitely a great, heavy duty option for pros and has some of the best deals out there

There color scheme sucks hard to see and find when you place them down

When it comes to the marketing and sales they do very well on Ohio Power Tools website and maybe a couple others but Lowe's is just kind of stagnant about them it seems. In my opinion

People have been raising this question almost from the beginning of them being released. Flex is made by Chervon. They make Ego, Flex, Skil and i couple of others i can't remember. They also make tools for other companies. There is no reason for them to drop the line. They can sell them at whatever speed/quantity they are able to until things pickup. Most companies view things in the long term. Also Acme and Ohio power tools carry them. My local contractors outlet is trying to become an authorized repair place for Flex. Chervons other 2 brands Ego and Skil are not going anywhere nor is Flex. The dust on boxes at lowes...that's because lowes s**ks. They have allways s**ked and allways will s**k. So does home depot. You will pay a bit more to get milwaukee batteries from a local contractors store or from Northern Tool but it will be worth it. Much MUCH newer battery. Also...flex can be purchased through acme tools and ohio power tool. They don't sell junk. Now there is one monkey that could shove a wet q-tip in our ears. China invading Taiwan or more likely Russia using Nukes on the Ukranians as they eventually get closer to moscow. Either of those two things would change all the rules and expectations of the game. Ive told my boss several times...one tactical nuke used by either china or Russia and I'm going home and not coming back. I'll probably moon him on the way out the door as well. Man I hope what they said is true. Flex is definitely one of my top 3 favorites if not my most favorite. I try to recommend them to anyone I know in the trades because their tools have been nothing but loyal to me.

I certainly hope for Flex to continue with their awesome 24v lineup

i just took the phase change gel out myself when everyone started having problems have only had a problem with one battery that they replaced also lowes everytime i go to buy flex they try to get me to buy dewalt or craftsman so id say lowes is a big part of the problem they need to leave there and find another place to sell their tools

They definitely need better marketing. Flex reminds me of LG's smartphones. So good, so much potential but the poor marketing led to its downfall and cancelation.

Im a dewalt guy but do have a few Flex and love them. They're powerful and feel good but you are right its very hard to get people to change but its a combination of things, 1 most are dedicated to a battery platform already, 2nd they just don't have enough tools yet to make people want to change, and 3 they do not promote enough, they need to advertise better and maybe give tools out so people can try them.

Lots of power here. I don't have the flex, but I have that Hercules and I can vouch for its power increase when you step up the battery from the 5ah to something bigger. I ordered the 8ah on eBay, and the seller accidentally sent me the 12ah 😁. There is a huge difference in that drill between the 5ah and 12ah 💪🏻 For two reasons, first off it's using the 21700 cells, and second there is less voltage drop when you pull the trigger.

Its just the first gen. Next gen will be whole lotta better. You put that drill through hell and kept it in heaven.

Could be the lumber. I found some lumber I use is more dense than others and I have this exact same issue. I could be wrong tho.

Was the Flex in turbo mode? I think all tests with Flex should only be in non turbo since it seems to deactivate when the tools gets hot and cannot be used continuously.

Good video. Dewalts consistent seems the smaller ah batteries deliver the most beacuse the tool doesnt shut itsself off. At the end of the day we might have different numbers but you are using the same adaper for both tests so across the board it seems dewalt does have the most power
