Had my m12 for 5 years, works like new, i dont think the problem is the battery bud.
Nice.
Which model is the Milwaukee?
@@PepperDoe-y4p 2904-20
Bosch is also using those tabless jp40 cells in their new batteries. These drills are real animals
Those batteries drive me crazy. I’m ready to switch lines.
[Had to redo this, sorry :)] I found the XTR better than next gen. All 3 next gen I tried had battery slop and had drive and tap modes that went full speed regardless of trigger position. [Not sure its normal, according to a redditor its not]. I would like to see drive and tap modes if you get one, especially of it has stepped control or goes full blast. Might be a few lemons out there. I'd take the better build and standard collet for something that works as intended. I also found the xtr more balanced than next gen. You would also need to have similar battery size 2mah, 4mah etc on each. The kobalt still has more cells. The Hercules had a less refined motor, sounds rougher, could be just differences in the mechanism, hammers etc. If the trigger could be made lighter, maybe by way of shortening the spring it would have better control. It is a nicer tool to hold, better balanced and more compact. In my case it failed after its first real test which wasn't much of a test. Do not by used, get with the warranty. Despite my comments above I really wanted to go Hercules as I love HF. Philly fixed did some good tests, xtr was middle of the pack, herc had some strengths where it excelled.
I want lighter but just as good so milwaukee wins when your using a tool all day long these thing matter . But good on dewalt for making a good drill.
But who just shoves it on like that? What imbecile
Hopefully no one when actually trying to cut something
I use Flex at home and Dewalt at work and to be honest, even being brought up on Dewalt, I would choose flex any day.
Clips are probably the same on all of them but the 6ah 12v is known to be a shitty battery.
Price ? $ each
@@jpprovost64 they’re both about $300 with 2 batteries and charger before any deals
Just buy a mafell. Problem solved
i got that one & the 3/8 hercules & i love them tbh for the price its amazing
Both great brands.
use a milwakee
FLEX. It have the power and the battery last forever
Jeez...2 days no posts. I guess kaleb is giving up on the channel?🥴
@@unclefester4626 guess so lol
@Kaleb_RoSs well....? Make a video about something. You guys own a jeep product. Surely it needs some kind of repair again allready, right?😁👍
@ it absolutely does lmao
I got the circ saw and the 860. Super happy with my purchase.
Milwaukeeism is a religion. They "believe" theyre the best.
They are convenient when they work
Get a 60 volt. That guy has made more shitty videos than anyone on the internet
Professional locksmith here I love this thing I constantly switch between a ph 2&3 and this makes it a piece of cake, Ofcourse I have better drills for doing masonry or metal but this is great mid power driver, my diagnostic drill I carry in to save on weight. Cheers everyone also never spray WD40 in a lock you’ve been warned :), Triflow is the best and Houdini for electric locks only
You dumb fools. Using a 2 amh battery is the problem. You gotta remember that that is the aaa of tool batteries. You need a minimum of a 5amh. Ideally the 8amh high output. Ive tested it, the millwakee cordless with the 8 amh high output will out proform the corded version.
For sure
Run a ziptie in between the trigger at the bottom and loop it around the battery might not be the prettiest but that should keep it connected
Can fix a car but complain about battery boot/case clips. Promise you this guy will not replace the retainers clips on car guards. Probably ends up with extra bolts
Broken battery clips isn’t the same as having parts/hardware leftover lmao🤣
M12 batteries are the weak link of this lineup. The batteries either fall off or straight up die Or both!! Got rid of the M12 solely because of this
You are abusing the tools. I have m12 and haven't had any problems, my coworker has the same problems you do. I look after my tools, coworker throws them around.
This is known
You buy that on Amazon?
@@parkerneilson588 Home Depot
I have 12 volt Milwaukee drill, ratchet, , 90 degree grinder and rotary tool never have that problem
@@toroloko7257 that’s good
5.0 and 2.5 have a way better plastic in the shell. I’ve been using a 2.5 in my 2567 ratchet for over a year and it’s fine
@@HighGrade_FireBlade hoping they hold up better for me as well
State of that tool, the battery is a nice shade of red, that tool is faded and abused, tell me without telling me you don't look after your livelyhood🤣
@@2Bassik been using that ratchet for the past 4 years, I’d say it’s in great condition lmao. It gets that dirty pretty much daily even after cleaning it up
@Kaleb_RoSs I've got power tools still going strong over 20yrs old in better condition😎
I've been using Milwaukee for years now. I have that same ratchet and I'm rough on stuff. I'm a full-time technician. I have never had this happen
@@DeadeyeDgen well I’m glad they’re working good for you, I haven’t been so lucky I guess
I had a couple of Hercules duds and a couple Bauer duds, quality control sucks
It doesn't do that if you don't use it as a hammer
@@peckergaming27 it does because it has not been used as a hammer lmao
@@Kaleb_RoSs well damn that sucks, if you had the other piece you could superglue it back on 😂
guy is not always correct. a corded tool will be limited to about 1800 watts on a normal circuit. a good battery can do better than that
Fake
@@JooZDeA not fake lol. But using too small of a battery and slamming the saw into the wood isn’t too good for the saw performance
This is from dropping and abusing your tools. Not a manufacturer problem. It’s a user problem.
@@ethanmcleod8819 these tools are not treated too badly, all my tools are treated the same and Milwaukee m18 and m12 are the only ones that have their battery break apart. I will say shit happens though, I work in a very fast pace environment with operations breathing down our necks wanting the repair done asap.
This problem is so bad with me on the die grinder
Put some duct tape on there before they break
@@alcerz984 yea, now I’ve got to put tape on and take it off every time I charge a battery and have tape residue all over the tool lol
What about a nice piece of sticky back silicone right where it breaks off?
Terrible test you didn’t prove anything
@@matthewabbott2851 wasn’t trying to
Yeah, they really need to update that Tool also I just went to Harbor freight and all of their Hercules ratchets or $50 or $55 for long reach one which is insane deal
@Toolsareus that is a good deal, I’ve been wanting to pick those up too
@ me and my friend both picked one up
Ohhh that would Piss Me Off!! 😂😂..
I have used m12 since they came out(2008). I've had the inner housing crack on one battery. I've never had the tabs break off. But I take care of my tools. This guy obviously abuses his stuff. No tools will last if you don't care.
@@scorpionsting47 not all that abusive but do have to race against the clock with operations breathing down our necks wanting to know when the repair will be done so shit happens
I break a lot of the knock offs
If you abuse the tool. Shit like that happens. I see my fellow techs throw their drills around like it doesn’t cost $200 plus
I don't abuse my tools and this happens frequently. Milwaukee makes a great tool but one of their weak points like many other brands is the batteries. The M12 batteries are especially prone to either fall off the tool, be very loose after sometime, and/or the battery stops working(dies) Got sick of it and chasing down warranty claims. Got rid of my M12 stuff solely because of this and I'm not in a shop using them all day everyday can't imagine what certain people like mechanics go thru lol. M18 is much better IMO. Haven't had the same issues as on the M12 batteries.
Unless its makita Makita are like the toyota of tools No gay nonsense gimmicks they just work Been throwing mine in my van like a baseball pitch for over a decade and using them to stand on to reach shit and they work like a dream
Even the m18 has terrible connection to the tool. Milwaukees biggest down fall is the batteries. They are so bad.
I have literally never had that happen to me once in the 8 years I been using m12 tools. I have had them fall out my light when I dropped it but that’s about it.
Ya know, if you don't excessively beat your tools like unloved dogs that doesn't happen. I had those tabs break once in several years yanking on the battery to get it out without squeezing the tabs completely.
How aggravating is that 🤌🏻
