I have a lot of people talk about the windy city series and fun times with being to see them. I am finally checking out Lightlark and it feels like Caraval with The Hunger Games so will see how the rest of the book goes.

Fantastic video, Sabrina! Best wishes with your 2024 life goals as you have some good ones! I just read Divine Rivals and wasn't a fan but I hope you enjoy it more than I did. House in the Cerulean Sea on the other hand is one of my favorite books ever so I feel confident about that one. Murder in the family sounds like something I might want to pick up. Mixed media can be quite fun when done well!

Ok moodreader problems, I started Powerless before Christmas, was absolutely loving it, and haven't gotten past the middle of the book. I just haven't been in the mood for it, and I can just tell a killer cliffhanger is coming so I think my subconscious is like "why don't we wait till the second book is closer to coming out till we finish this" but I want to finish it!

Great selection of books. I really enjoyed Way of Kings, Jade City, and 11/22/63.

I read Six of Crows for Wyvern and Words book club and enjoyed it but I gave it a 3 stars only because it was 6 pov with chapters and got confused. I plan to start Renegades next month for my husband picks a book off of my tbr for his birthday month. Divine Rivals was a fun read but felt it was too hype up, hopefully the second book is more of a faster pace. On my list is Powerless, A Darker Shade of Magic, The Final Empire, The Natural series is so good. I have been wanting to read Fear the Flames. I have 24 books to read in 2024 as well. Goals would be to try reading four classics, try reading 10 popular Booktube books, and reduce my unread physical books on my tbr. Next year thinking about looking at my free Kindle books to read and see if I can get some off my Kindle.

I have read Red Rising and didn't think it was to bad but definitely heavy on politics. I have been reading Throne of Glass slowly. My tbr this week has been reading Keeper of the Lost Cities #2, A Court of Wings and Ruin, and finished Divine Rivals. I know exactly where you were at in NYC I live a 11/2 away but usually only like going to the city if it is for the zoo.

I was so excited to see this video pop up in my recommended feed! One of my non-booktube friends has been in a slump for over a year where she can't read anything other than fanfic and fluffy smut stuff so I can understand where you are coming from. It's a bummer. But you know what isn't a bummer? You enjoying sci-fi! That's so awesome and I'm excited for you! I personally can't wait to read "Project Hail Mary" but I need to read "The Martian" first. You saying you don't want to put your first real sci-fi book down, gives me life! I don't want you to feel bad for not liking "Ender's Game." I read it back in high school and didn't care for it as much either but I'm planning a re-read as an adult to see how I feel now. P.S. I only recently discovered how much I enjoy hosting as well. It is a lot of work but the people make it fun.

I think I can do most genres depending on the writing except historical fiction and classics cause they both feel slow when I read them.

My favorite books of the year were Eva Evergreen semi-magical Witch Duology, The Infernal Devices trilogy, the first two books of ACOTARs, the Natural series, Tress of the Emerald Sea, Fourth Wing series, and The Secret Society of Irregular Witches. My favorite manga and graphic novels of the year are Yona of the Dawn, Witch Hat Atelier, Hi, I'm a Witch, and my crush wants me to make a love potion, The King's Beast, A Sign of Affection, and Heartstopper. Plan to start Throne of Glass series next month and continuing the shadow hunter series this year.

Fav new (to me) authors are Sarah Adams and Alice Oseman. I LOVED When in Rome and Practice Makes Perfect, and plan on rereading both next year. And I binged 1-4 of Heartstopper and need my library to get book 5 in asap. Once i finish my audiobook today I will have read 100 books this year, where my goal was 50. I learned I actually like graphic novels that arent just Tea Dragon Society. Goal for 2024 is to finish some of the series I am in the middle of....because there are a lot lol

7. new fav author you discovered in 2023 Julie Abe Fav middle grade book I read was Eva Evergreen Semi-Magical Witch and Fourth Wing 21. reading goal reflection + 2024 reading goal 100 books this year and next year is 60 just to enjoy reading considering I felt overwhelmed after 2023 reading, what are you prioritizing in 2024 reading wise Finishing series, sticking to my 24 books to read list in 2024 as well

I’m currently reading the hazel wood and, personally, I find the MC insufferable. I just can’t stand people (irl or in books) who are just angry and mad ALL THE TIME. But the plot is rlly getting me so I’m going to power through

That is an impressive unhaul and funny enough I put The Library of the Dead on my tbr because of you a while ago. It looks interesting and read the synopsis afterwards and still am curious to read it. I will pick it in October at the library. I haven't had any books that I want to unhaul that I have bought. I have had books I tried reading but wasn't able to from the library. At the moment trying to read at least 1 or 2 books on my physical tbr and one from the library as my goal for next year.
