do u guys like my book so far { its long so this aint all} One Wrong Move “Jayde!” Delilah screamed chasing after her best friend, in the sunset on the 13th of February 10 days before Delilah’s birthday “Hurry up! We are going to be late” She screamed back. They ran for another 10 minutes before reaching the subway, “Finally! We’re here” Delilah said catching her breath, we looked at each other and burst out laughing. drenched we managed to get home, well to Delilah’s house, I spend most my time here anyway, Mrs. smith is interesting, but I know she cares, I think... My dad died when I was six, I don’t know about my mum, but Mrs. smith and Mr. Chun are my family and of course Delilah. We walked inside and past Mr. Chun washing the dishes “Evening Mr. Chun” I say walking past “Hey Dad!” Delilah says, “Hey girls, Mrs. Smith is picking you up at 8 pm okay?” he said. 6:37pm the clock said next to her bed, I looked around at the K-pop posters everywhere mainly had stray kids and photos of the members and their signatures one poster was off though it was tiny and in the middle of two others it was a dove and above it read Aphrodite. “Hey, what up with that poster?” I said, “I don’t know it just appeared one day” Delilah responded, we just sat there chatting for the next 2 hours. A knock interrupted our conversation, “Come in!” Mr. Chun said opening the door, behind it was Mrs. Smith, her black hair and strict looking makeup “Hello Mr. Chun, I’m here for Jayde” she said in a thick British accent, I came running out with my bag still wet “Can you not get wet for a day?” she said pointing to the car “Bye Mr. Chun, Bye Delilah!” I said walking out the door she followed behind me, it was still raining not as heavy you couldn’t really see it though as it was 8 pm so it’s dark I listened to Mrs. Smith mumbling something how I’m so messy or something similar, but why did she even pick me then. I sat in the passenger seat next to Mrs. Smith in front of Addison “Hey Addi, how was school?” I asked her “Good, I guess” she replied. Addi was Mrs. Smith’s kid she’s 6 years younger than me so she’s 10 she is something I can’t really tell if she likes me, but we see each other twice a day for dinner and for pickup and occasionally around the house. I do not really care about her she says I’m lucky because my dad is dead because hers sucks, which I think is selfish because I would do anything to get my dad back. When we got home, I went straight up to my room, home was my escape from everything or everyone. I put my school bag down before jumping onto my bed full of plushies I look around and notice a poster similar to Delilah’s. Mine says Nyx and has a moon not a dove… that’s strange, its located on my ceiling next to my tapestry. I’m too tired to care I hear screams, but I decided to just go to sleep I feel more powerful at night I don’t why it’s weird but I’m not complaining I like feeling powerful. Because I’m usually weak but most people don’t even know my name, so it doesn’t bother me. I woke up the next morning and got ready for school “Cya Addi, Bye Mrs. Smith!” I screamed running out the house. I had to meet Delilah and the others at the train station. It was storming down but Mrs. Smith still couldn’t take me. I felt a vibration from my phone I picked up “Hey where are you?” Delilah said, “On my way!” I said running “I’m 2 minutes away!” I said, “okay bye!” she said before hanging up I finally reached the station soaked I looked up and saw Delilah drying off, I look around for Christian and Sophia, but they must have taken the early train for school, I feel like something is important today, I look at my watch 14th of February valentines day, 9 days before Delilah’s birthday we walk onto the train, the time goes by “Everyone getting off at Shibuya get off now” a voice over the speaker says, we walk off the train over to school “Oh over there is Sophia!” I say as we walk over “Where’s Christian?” I asked looking around “I don’t know genius” she replies “Crossing my fingers for you to find him” I said “Crossing your fingers? We aren’t children Jayde why do you even believe in that” She scoffed, I walked away from her she can go die in a hole for all I care rude little brat. The bell goes so we all walk to 1st period, Math class the teacher was going on about Calculus or something “What is the answer to (dy/dx) +y + e s?’ he asked. The bell rang for end of 1st period so me and Delilah head up to the bathrooms to check our makeup and I see a blurred creepy figure behind me, but I look again and its gone. It’s probably nothing I thought to myself and walked to period 2, I felt glances from around the classroom “what do you want to do after school?’’ Delilah asks, “Uh I don’t know, want to come over to my house after school?” I responded, I put my headphones in and just zoned out I don’t really care about the history of our world, I’m going to be a detective not a librarian “Miss Ako, do you think this is a joke?” The teacher asked me, “yes I do, I can’t read any of this, I don’t care about how our world was created” I said before walking out as the bell rang, we catch the subway back home, nothing special happens that’s just how it is. We get to my house and pass Mr. Smith “Hey Mr. Smith!” I say, “Hey sweetie is Delilah staying over?’’ I nod and walk up to my room, it’s still messy. Blankets and clothes are all over the floor one of my posters fell off, my row of ducks is messed up and my desk is a mess, clothes are all over it, random makeup everywhere my life is a mess. I apologize for the mess and go to pick, “Hey you have one of them too! Wait that’s weird Delilah says pointing at the poster next to my tapestry “Yeah its weird” I say before sitting on my bed next to Delilah “JAYDE! Get down here right now!” Mrs. Smith screamed, I left and told Delilah to wait here. I reached Mrs. Smith, and she started ranting about how I needed to ask before inviting Delilah over and how its not my house. I reminded her of when she said Delilah could stay over and that shut her up. I walked back upstairs to where Delilah was and apologized for leaving her alone. We start setting up the blowup mattress. We picked a movie and made popcorn. “What movie are we watching?” Delilah asked “Imaginary” I replied. I turned on the movie, everything in a suspense movie weird creatures in the background, the suspense you know all of the norma- “OMG WHAT WAS THAT” I screamed as a cockroach flew past us. I jumped up and started running and screaming, I ran into the kitchen to grab the Bug spray, I ran back up and felt eyes staring at me, but no one was there, weird but eh. I sprayed the cockroach multiple times while running away from it, but it was dead. We went to sleep and just slept through the night normally and got ready for school. On our way-out Mr. Smith stopped us “What’s going on with your friend Christian? He got captured” he asked pointing at a part in the newspaper Titled “The Disappearance of a Boy” with his photo underneath it. I grabbed the newspaper and ran to the train station, surely, he was at school, I got on the next train and just hoped he was at school, but when I arrived, he wasn’t there, nowhere to be seen. It felt normal though no one care he was gone, the thoughts going through my mind. How could no one care?! Why would someone take him?! Who took him?! Why doesn’t Sophia care?” No one cared about his disappearance, no one but me and Delilah, was everyone heartless? Yes, they were. 20 minutes later Delilah arrived at school, I forgot about her at my house I felt bad, but I just couldn’t talk, nothing was processing but then the first bell went, and we all headed to class except for me, I’m finding Christian “Hey Delilah, I’m finding him meet me at my house after school?” I asked and then I went home to find weapons, I’m finding Christian. I didn’t realize

i home sick for a places that is not real 😭😭😭

Awakening in the darkest forest, with only the whispering of trees to fill my ears, I could sense it, taste it, feel it. The power beneath my feet, the crispness of the air caressed my skin like feathers, every move I made to get up and look at my surroundings felt slowed. Like I was moving faster than the world was. A bee floated passed me, like it was swimming and I could see its tiny wings flowing smoothly. Never before had I felt such strength and awareness. Where the hell was I? What was this feeling under my skin? The sky above wasn't blue, but instead, a pinkish orange. Once I was moving through the trees that almost felt alive as I touch their bark and escaping out into the hills in front of me, the world I had once known was flipped upside down. The family I had, the friends I made, everyone I knew, was gone and all that stood before me was a vast land of a never ending setting sun. And there stood a kingdom made of obsidian gold.

You’re only a monster if you can’t control it.” Naratha turned away from the throne, letting the dragons twist and separate off her skin. “Control yourself.” The dragons lunged at him, killing him in an instant. “No.” Naratha turned back to the throne, picked the crown up and turned to the stunned courtiers smiling. Never done this before. Hope you like it.
