Comparison Between Old vs New Crazy Taxi (+Notes)
At the #GameAwards last December, #SEGA announced an initiative to bring some of its classic game franchises back to life, including #CrazyTaxi series.
SEGA is moving to staff up the development team making the new Crazy Taxi, and the game is consistently referred to as a “large-scale online title,” “open world,” and a “massively multiplayer driving game.” The original is a tight, fast-paced arcade driving game about ferrying passengers around a city map as fast as possible.
#KenjiKanno - the director of the original game - and other developers talk about adapting the classic Crazy Taxi gameplay for a world with multiple players set on a “theme park-like” city map. Brief work-in-progress clips from the Game Awards announcement video show multiple cabs trailing sparks as they drift around a San Francisco-style city.

Notes:
The map shown in New Crazy Taxi appears to be the same map Arcade from OG Crazy Taxi
Map size seems to be a bit bigger compared to the size of the cars in the Game Award Clips
Overall Speed seems slower but could be due to not using Limiter Cut (if its in-game) or for Multiplayer capacity
If it is a Battle Royale Style MMO, it actually seems to look fun, however mechanics such as Wall Sticking, Clipping, Impact Bounce, etc IMO needs to be in-game to truley have the Crazy Taxi Experience.

Crazy Taxi (xbox 360) Broken Drift 52 combo

Broken Drift means that the drift combo wasn't continuous. The drift "broke" at the 5 and 15 combo. The drift didnt get reset (boosting to gain speed), just that the angle was too small to count as a combo on 5 and 15. Sharpening the angle of the drift gets the combos back on track. This can be seen that 52 True drift is possible so thats the next objective. :)

I haven't been playing Crazy Taxi much lately but here is a video of a 48 drift combo. I definintly believe that 50 is possible but its going to take a bit of time and luck. Same as before, keep taxi at optimal angle relative to surface and try to avoid uphill dirt. I'd say in terms of what sufaces to be on: 1. Staying in the air (duh) 2. Curbs around dirt hills 3. What is a true drift? Basically it is a label I made up that means that the drift is sustained continuously, without pauses in the drift. I've hit 46 drift combo before but there was like a 1 sec break in the combo so I didn't record it. Maybe later I'll post the failed True drift combos (which I'll label Broken drift combos). Crazy Taxi on Xbox Series S with Xbox 360 backwards compatibility. Sustaining drift for 40 combo, could go to 42-44 regularly 43-46 if you switch to backwards drift before you're under 60~km/h. Try not to turn the taxi too hard to the left or right while on grass, taxi looses too much speed. You can get away with hard turns on road! This man should be better known world-wide. Kazumi is a world class guitarist and I wish he'd played in London because I would have loved to see him play live. However, these compilation clips shows what a renowned player he is. I pray he recovers from illness and we lovers of Jazz rock fusion will get to hear our brother Kazumi Watanabe play again. This week we lost David Sanborn and am sadden to hear about Kazumi.

なにこれちょっと素敵
Got to see him perform in Okinawa Japan back in 1982 or so when I was stationed there. A great player, these videos really don't do him justice as they mainly highlight his fusion side. He's a very complex player and can burn on mainstream jazz. Thanks for the upload it brings back a lot of memories.

Great fusion jazz guitarist, but what makes him underrated despite his mind blowing speed is lack of trademark solo unlike Larry Carlton n George Benson that provoke emotions, feel in every guitar solo, each one different from one another that capture wider audience in general

ギターの上手さは言うまでもないけど、本人がトリオ編成を好んでいるのもあってか、ベースとドラムの音を拾って演奏するのが抜群に上手い。 ベースやドラムの音に乗って自分の音を出したり、ベースやドラムの音を立てるための音を出したり、ギター以外の楽器の音が心地良く聴こえてくる。 共演者×自分の織り成す音楽の醍醐味みたいのが本当に心地良い。
香津美くらいになると、どこを押さえたらどの音が出るのか、あるいはどの音を出すにはどこを押さえたらいいのか、全部頭に入ってるんだろうな
ギターある程度やってたらそれは普通か、と…。数十年前の俺でさえもそれは頭にというか体が覚えてた…。

The Crazy Taxi one I think is the highest I've seen my cab go, I've never done the highway skip. I still play Peggle w friends, it's a good game. Very weird the lightning struck right on me, I had just made a lightning rod and I was about to place it on the roof but I got struck : / I put this title because I want to clean up storage across all devices and accounts. Lol my "Watch later" had 2,000 videos now its close to 700 but I'm still cleaning.
