I believe like 5 years ago sold my old broken Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9 with damaged display i think I got only like 15 or 20 bucks but it was broken

@@JessePowellZ71 $40-50 would have been more reasonable but it’s better than nothing I suppose. Android phones aren’t as easy to repair as iPhones, not sure that that’s a factor in their offer though. I bought an s10+ demo unit phone online about 3 years ago, only issue was some screen burn in but nothing too bad. Used some online software to unlock it from demo mode and now it works like a normal one, only the cellular doesn’t work because it doesn’t have a registered imei. Still have it to this day, great condition and used as back up phone. I’m planning on upgrading from the 13 Pro to the 16 Pro sometime next year, wonder how much EcoATM would offer for either.

@@Mr.Handy.Man. yeah it was like back in 2019 I had my Samsung I went to the grocery store one day but as I was getting home from the store I opened the door to get out of my dad’s truck as I was getting out of the seat the phone slips out of my pocket and out of the door and landed on the road I picked the phone up the screen shattered I than turned the screen on saw that over half of the display went white up to next to the black spot so I couldn’t afford to have it fixed so I had to get another phone but it was a cheap phone but now I have the iPhone 14 which I had over a year

Very true. I rain into that issue on 2 abandoned mowers I picked up.

@@geraldschilli8870 True. I enjoy getting them to run again. I have my own so i take these and get them running, clean them up and give them away with a list of parts they need.

I’ve been told by people I’ve sold iPhones to that their last iPhone had a broken screen, bad battery, or cracked back ext, so they just tossed it in the garbage- when all it needed was a simple repair. Such an unfortunate waste. But this is one of the reasons I do iPhone restorations. I would love to do restorations on older iPhones before the iPhone 7, but unfortunately there’s not enough of a return for investing in parts and time.

@@scottdunn4506 I agree, I love picking free mowers up and getting them running. I usually give them away to someone who really needs it. Hate seeing them sit and rot.

@@billydelacey If you don’t know how EcoATM works, sure. Most people do their own research before taking their personal phone to one for a quote. Obviously the quote varies upon several factors including specs, condition and location. “In 2023” gives a general idea of when I got mine. People check the upload date for these videos to get an idea of that anyway. If the title was “How much $ will EcoATM give You for an iPhone 12 in 2023” then yeah I’d agree with you.

@@acueva1992Happy to help! Also- If you ordered the same one I have in the video, if you don’t have the battery yet, you can still use it with a lightening cord plugged in. It’s like running a laptop with it plugged in without the battery.

Hello fellow Content Creator, Thank you for taking time out of your day to share tips and advice that have personally helped your channel grow and improve : ) Most of the things you’ve shared, I’ve already been in the process of doing. others, I’ve been slacking on due to being busy outside of TH-cam, including filming future videos. Pertaining to editing suggestions, I just recently found and started using another video editing app that offers significantly more options and variety & I plan to utilize them in future content. Thanks & I appreciate you!

Good point, however, I got the case and screen about 3 years ago and don’t have a receipt so the cost for them is not counted. In future videos like this, the cost of new parts will be included. Thanks

Thank you! If you want to sell locally then I recommend FaceBook marketplace for sure. If you want to sell online & ship, I use Mercari. I prefer selling locally because you don’t have to deal with seller fees. Altogether I use Mercari, Facebook marketplace, offerUp, Craigslist. Avoid selling to people that just joined or have no ratings!
