Enquanto houver Portugueses [Portuguese tradwave]
Music (video): Mataram a Mouraria
→ th-cam.com/video/-ImKpm3lMNw/w-d-xo.html
Image (video): Praça Luís de Camões in Lisbon, by João Ribeiro Cristino da Silva (1829 - 1877)
Image (thumb): Praia das Maçãs, by José Malhoa (1855 - 1933)
This one is a Portuguese fado. The fado is a traditional genre that developed in the 19th century, but that essentially expresses the spirit of hundreds of years of Portuguese history and culture. It does so by exploring such concepts as that of "saudade", a specific kind of longing that evokes a sad feeling of nostalgia and an acceptance of an inevitable fate ("fado", in fact, means "fate"). This one in particular, sung by Dona Maria Teresa de Noronha (1918 - 1993), does this by portraying some concepts in a personified manner: Fado complains to Tradition about the killing of Mouraria. Mouraria is an old neighborhood in Lisbon, one of the birthplaces of fado.
As a native Portuguese speaker, I must also make some notes on the translation of the song.
The Portuguese language has some quite lyrical and poetic constructions that are pretty hard to perfectly translate into English, so much of the original sense and connotation gets lost. Particularly in 1:26, the Portuguese text "vem o futuro a nascer / e vai morrendo o passado" has a very strong connotation of time and space. A literal translation of such a construction would be "future comes being born / and past goes away dying"; that is, it implies an idea of future as something that's coming closer as it is being born, and past as something that's distancing itself as it dies, in a sense that combines progression and constancy, as if it's something that's always going on and will never change. A necessary law, that is. That conveys pretty well the ideas of "saudade" and fate mentioned above, and the whole spirit of fado.
Also, in 1:49, there is a play with the verb "ouvir", which can mean both "hear" and "listen to [music]". The text can thus be translated either to "Fado was then hardly heard", in the sense of a person who's dying and can barely speak, or to "Fado was then hardly listened to", in the sense that people didn't listen to fado (the musical genre) anymore.

Please make one with La Guadalupana, and perhaps one with Pälästinlied (Latin version)
I was going mad looking for a version of this song with the four stanzas that I was taught in school. Thank you for posting this, good sir. God bless you.
I though it was about, "la guadalupana" an actual song about the Virgin Mary 🙏 Not complaining here, just making a comment about it. PS: could you consider to the tradwave versions of: - Oh, Muerte, dónde está tu victoria? - Sete spadas de dolor - Italian song about the Virgin Mary - Sete palavras - Brasilian song about the passion of Christ Thanks 👍
If you shearch the name of this sing its : Jésus Christ s'habille en pauvre.
Peak.
Bellísimo canto
Viva Cristo Rey!
Notice that when the man says I have nothing to give you he uses te instead of vous. Jesus Christ says votre when talking about the crumbs from his (votre) table. In French, there are 3 grammatical persons for plural and for singular. There's: Me You Him/her Us Y'all (This is the closest english word I can think of to Vous in French) Them Gramatically using the you grammatical person when talking to someone about them is correct, but in formal settings you use the y'all grammatical person when trying to be polite. The you grammatical person is for casual settings. The man uses the you grammatical person, perhaps disrespectfully, while Jesus Christ uses the polite y'all grammatical person
Brother in Christ, is everything alright?
The second coming of the Lord will shock the world and enlighten Gods children
Hey, how do you make your voice sound like that?
Is there a version of this without the rain?
Yes, look for "pecador, contempla" on Google

Viva D. Miguel e sua descendência, Deus, Pátria, Rei! Fim á Republica, fim aos maçoms.
Glory to God, much love from an Eastern Orthodox Christian ☦✝️ Memento Mori: Life is not eternal, but God is. Glory to Him from all our hearts. It was He who created the world and all that we see and are unable to see, and we are lucky to merely be alive, let alone offered eternal Afterlife. Do not waste this opportunity. Stay strong, my fellow Christians! Glory to Christ ☦✝️💪
Signore Diu, Salva noi poveri peccatori...

I’m sorry my dear Lord
Vivas a Sua Majestade Fidelíssima El-Rei Dom Miguel, Cristianíssimo e Legítimo Rei!

That's an interesting way to say "Dutch" but I can't say I disagree. They are the jews of Europe.
Beautyful song
Reminds me of Odysseus being humbled in his own home, catharsis comes hard
Homo, humus; fama, fumus; finis, cinis. (o homem é barro, a fama é fumaça, o fim é cinzas)

Yes
This song makes reference to Monarchy in general, not exactly absolutism
Yes, though the description makes reference not to the song specifically, but to miguelism, in the context of which "absolutism" would be used as a reference to the form of monarchy contrary to the constitutionalism of the liberals
Father, have mercy on me
You can and you need to fix this song.
"Contemplate, sinner" Me: *" I , a m "*
Wonderful, God bless you
Thank you for posting. Playing this for my kids tonight.
Lord have mercy
Domine Iesu Christe, Fili Dei, miserere mei peccatoris.
Just a masterpiece chant and melody. Greetings from Portugal to my French brothers
This is our faith. Remembering Hell and God's justice is as important as remembering His love for us. God bless, brother, and stay strong. Salve Maria.
May the father be merciful upon my wretched soul.
