Cool rig
@@TrevLittle thanks!
Ready to roll for the season.
@codraven57 yes buddy looking forward to it!
Water pump from the mill.
@brandonboyd2500 yep I was pretty sure it came from that pump house at the beginning of mine pond
Yup got it!
By the way, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! Thanks for finding these crash sites and keeping their history alive! Good job! God bless!
The flight crew of this plane stayed at the Base Hotel (506, 507 & 508)--My mother checked them out and was one of the last to see them alive. RIP
@sherrywhite1517 wow thanks so much for the info! I always love getting more information about places I've been, alot of times it's not stuff in the history books. And thanks for the birthday wishes!
Where are the Falls located?
@@bobnelson1428 right along the paved road on the right in point au mal, just have to look over to the mountains
Nice video. I have a log cabin just behind where you stopped by for the first look. Stop in for visit next time
@@revid64 sounds good!
Very interesting video thanks for sharing
@@BobForth-q3b your welcome!
Very nice video. Lots of weather changes this time of year. Beautiful terrain. What is the name of that river at the end of the vid? Really enjoying your channel. Thx for taking us along for the ride.
@GRKing-pv7lz that's fox island river, here on the west coast of newfoundland. It's unreal some of the places in newfoundland that most people don't know about, and I'm still finding them one by one lol. And your welcome!
48.082021,-58.959500 check out these cordinates on google maps, this may be it.
Plane or boat simulation?
@peewee.3138 boat i believe
Thanks for taking us along for the ride. I'm envious of all the trails available to you. Nothing like that here in S.W. Ontario .
@richardguse3410 yes i agree buddy, but northern Ontario is pretty amazing for dirt roads and scenery. Love it when I make trips through there. I lived in Oshawa back in 1990, wasn't for me....too busy lol
Great post my friend I like this one I can almost see the spot I stopped coming from romaines side, next trip in I’m pretty sure I’ll make it all the way
@colson21 i knows you will buddy, you got the drive for to reach these goals!
A lot of neat stuff! Especially the ‘69 firebird.
@Follett2121 yes too bad it's so far gone. There is a 69 charger there too, but unfortunately got pulled over about 8 months before I got there
@ wow! I’ve definitely got to make it to the west coast for some car hunting sometime.
Really cool stuff!
@@Follett2121 thanks! This spot is easily accessible too
very nice video man. never been in the country out there, looks awesome. thanks for sharing man
@dronepilotNL your welcome, and yes some beautiful views here too!
Awesome video buddy as always
@fathersonoutdoors7487 thanks buddy!
Interesting video’s, you recently went to Howley and the Gaff Topsails. Have you ever went up to Hinds Lake. It can be reached from the Farm Road in Howley the following the roads to the hydro dams. Food for thought, some amazing views of upper Grand Lake.
@kendean3754 thanks for the info, I'll definitely check it out!
Love your videos but FYI it is illegal to operate an onroad vehicle on the T'railway Provincial Park. You might want to relocate your camera so your vehicles VIN is not in frame in case any law enforcement folks want to pay you a visit.
@PaulKay-r7i thanks! As for the vin I took close looks in the video and it's not clear enough to read. And for being on the railbed I've been stopped a few times now and never had an issue due to my width and I drive sensible. I pass hundreds of trucks and even small cars all the time on the railbed whenever I do go on there, which isn't alot
@@offgridadventurers In that particular area I wouldn't even worry about it anyway
Im getting a 96 tracker and want to use some Polaris ranger tracks… thanks for all the info east coast Canada looks a lot like here in Alaska! Thanks for the content
@christophermcginty no problem buddy, needs any other info just look me up on Facebook! My name is Nelson bennett
Great shots of the dam and now you are in the areas that I have been in many times.......The Gaff is cool..
@codraven57 thanks! Hopefully I get to see the gaff better this spring, we hit it at a bad day lol
Id say your ideas are the best so pick one and make it happen.....awesome....
@codraven57 yes your right buddy, I'm sure I'll figure it out lol
An awning is a good idea, I think. I am not much for rat rods, but I am glad that you found and will save this 'antique' bonnet/hood.
@regsparkes6507 the awning was my first idea and it would look cool. I'll see what it looks like when I get it strengthened up. I do plan on putting a high gloss epoxy on it also when it's done....just the way it is with the paint all faded. Thanks for your input!
@@offgridadventurers I'll be waiting to see the finished job then.
Awesome video as always my buddy , especially the footage of the dam , it did give a great perspective of its size that's for sure. I went through the Gaff I'd say 25 years ago in my buddy's old Datsun pick up drove the trail from Millertown to Howley and much the same kind of day , couldn't get up to hills , looking forward to your next video for sure
@tuckerandi thanks Garry! Yea would of been nice to get some good views of the gaff the same day but that will have to be another trip. Those old datsun trucks were awesome! Too bad they rusted out so fast lol
@@offgridadventurers Yeah that one had a lot of guts and a lot of sheet metal patches LOL
@tuckerandi haha I could imagine! I do alot of bodywork and I'll tell ya it seems alot of people like ductwork 😂
Another great video...enjoy everyone of your video.
@scottsansome9404 thanks alot I appreciate it! Alot of work goes into it but comments like yours makes it worth it!
Great video....keep them coming.
@@MaisieSansome-b3q thanks! I'm on it, in between the monsoons lol
Great video ... different world on that high country, (the Gaff)
@baybuoy3843 is it ever, too bad the scenery was limited due to the weather but still amazing!
It's great to see places on your videos that I haven't been to in decades. I can just barely remember going to cub camp in there. I live just outside Halifax right now and get back over to the island as often as possible. My parents have an off grid cabin in Doyles on land that has been in my family for over 140 years. So that is where I spend most of my vacation time. I grew up in the Xing and Stephenville. My parents still have a house in Stephenville so I do spend some time there too. I didn't fully appreciate the access we have to crown land in Newfoundland until I moved to NS. It's difficult to get into the woods here and not be in someone's backyard.
@lordgarak totally get that buddy! I lived in the Annapolis valley for years, beautiful spot but not as free as being here. We had a cabin in south branch when we were kids. Have alot of relatives from the codroy valley area. Such beautiful country out there and we got to explore more of it next summer!
@@offgridadventurers I seen an old co-worker of mine on your south branch video. I think I also heard the voice of my cousin's husband there too(co-worker's brother). Everyone back home is somewhat connected.
@lordgarak oh that's awesome, small world eh? There's alot more exploring to be done in the codroy valley area, so much beautiful rugged terrain. Hopefully the by's will join me in those videos again
great job on the video man. when you got back up next summer, let me know and ill tag along on the side x side. we,ll head in Hinds lake rd, blue grass hill etc, show you some great country
@dronepilotNL sounds like a plan buddy!
I remember this crash well. I was 10 years old standing on my doorstep on Ohio Circle Harmon AFB. I was used to hearing 124's take off. This one sounded funny. Not quite the right engine pitch. I looked up and watched it struggle to get airborne then crash into the mountain with a resulting fireball. Quite a shock for a 10- year-old. My father was the Hospital Commander at Harmon at the time, so I heard a lot more about the crash in days to come.
@tvivian1 wow that's crazy! I could only imagine how it was to witness it, especially at that age. Thanks so much for the insight on it, greatly appreciated!
I always thought this plane was in bound when it crashed. Could it have been another behind gull pond?
@brandonboyd2500 it looks like there was 2 plane crashes in that same pond. I'll message you after work and show where we found the plane wreckages
@@offgridadventurers from some digging I have done there might be a lot of planes in that area
Need to get a wood pic (picaroon)it could save your back make handleling logs a lot easier. Injoy your new land I recently bought a patch of woods myself can't wait to get working on it. New protects 🪓🔨🪚💪
yes i just got myself a wood pick, and thats awesome! Hope you make your dreams happen too, definitly worth the work
Interesting video
Thanks!
I have a buddy that have been running tracks for years on his SxS and quad for hauling wood and logs........he uses gear oil instead of grease inside those caps and had never had a bearing fail yet.........I guess the gear oil will seep into the bearing when the grease wont in the cold and it displaces the water better I suppose...........I have a small set for my polaris this year and will be trying the gear oil also..............Great explore buddy...........great spot for sure........thanks for taking us along.......
@codraven57 thanks buddy, I decided to use grease since the bearings are sealed so hoping this will stop the moisture from seeping in. I'll see in the spring how it worked, worse case I'll have to change all the bearings and go with gear oil lol. I'm glad the bearings are cheap online and really easy to change. Really impressed with the capabilities of the tracks overall!
just sent a request to join your fb group
Awesome views of serpentine Lake makes me want to come home
@@ToddButt-ic8rg it's unreal how much beautiful scenery there is here in newfoundland!
Great video, our atv group from Nova Scotia were on this road this summer, traveled as far as the Sweet Shack , We were told by a local that there is plans to put a trail across one of the bogs that will link you up with the roads that come in from Gallants, Right now , you would know this , you can only get across in the winter on snow machines.
@KawiKvfRider yes that's pretty cool. There's so many trails around here it's crazy. I haven't even scratched the surface yet lol. Did you post your journey here on TH-cam?

New subscriber. Really enjoyed. Looking forward to seeing the winter runs.
@Frontireadventures thanks for subscribing! And yes there will be more to come
I would much rather hear you talk about the area than listening to that music.
@SuperCyril2 yes i do plan on working on voice overs more as I get more used to doing the videos
Do you have to play the music
@jocelyncritch8512 the reason I added the music is because my cameras get terrible wind noise when driving and there's no sound with the drone footage, not a big fan of music myself but it will do for now
love the track set up! I also have a couple of trackers. I would like to try to set one of mine up. What kind of set up do you use for the tracks and mounting set up?
@mikemcauley6036 i bought a set of camso tracks, t4s. I had to buy wheel adapters on ebay which were 900 dollars. The torsion arms i modified myself with some welding. These were on a kawasaki tree and they weren't bad at all to make work
awesome ride into the hills man. great drone video.
@dronepilotNL thanks buddy, you ever been to Lewis hills?
@@offgridadventurers yes man, snowmobile mostly though. never been out in the cold brook area though. looks like nice country in around there. This spring, you needs to go to the Howley, Taylors Brook area. Some great country up there to do some off road adventures, like Howley via Hinds Brook Rd to Buchans, back over the Gatt Topsails then to Howley. then another is from Taylors brook Rd to Hawkes Bay on the GNP. Let me know. I spend my summers up that way camping.
@dronepilotNL sounds like we will have to meet up for some adventures, I really wanna check out the dam too!
@@offgridadventurers not a problem, just message me
@dronepilotNL i have you on Facebook?
Great video looked like fun thanks for sharing
@@tomfillmore9710 your welcome! Some beautiful country out there
Very interesting and you are correct, the scenery is spectacular and so 'clean' looking. I did NOT notice any trash along the roadway,.. well done travellers. Carry it in, carry it out. Thanks for this video, I did as you suggested, I subscribed as I would like to see more of your outings and also what you do.
@regsparkes6507 thanks! And yes the trails have very little traces of garbage which is nice to see. There is definitely some beautiful landscapes in this area, and thankful the drone can pick up alot of it
Thanks for the ride today! Looking forward to a snowy winter riding along in the Tracker with Tracks!
@richardguse3410 thanks! And I'm sure by the looks of things that will be happening sooner than later lol
@@offgridadventurers Do you have a hydraulic boost on the steering for the tracks?
@richardguse3410 nope it works perfect with the stock power steering.
That's interesting. Must be the light weight of the Trackers. I just watched Cascade Heavy Rescue in Oregon and he needs it for tracked Jeep Grand Cherokees.
@richardguse3410 yes the trackers are pretty light. Mine is only 700 pounds heavier than a can am defender lol
Awesome video buddy that's one sick looking woods rig going to be nice to get in the woods for a cook up when the snow comes
@fathersonoutdoors7487 oh buddy I can taste the bologna over the open fire now 😂
iIguess only balsam grows there?? kinda odd.. think white spruce would grow there as well..
@@jondoh5961 yes strnge hey
Great work. Ya helper is definitely a keeper. I have a tip. In an area where u have a few logs near the road like in ya vids. Find a tree close to the road. Use a ladder and tie a heavy pulley up in the tree high. Run a long heavy rope through the pulley to ya jeep to ya logs and pull to road with Jeep. I do this and works perfectly. U can cut ya logs in 16 ft lengths then til u haul em to the road. It works well for me.
@petropete3122 thanks! And that is a great idea for sure, I'll give it a try
Nice drone shots. Much respect to a man getting logs this way. Been at it the pass few weeks. Gotta have the want to accomplish that’s all. Tks for sharing.
@petropete3122 thanks buddy! I always said anyone can get anything they set to mind to...you just gotta want it bad enough!
