Really nice I would just gusset the round tubing if using it with the link bars
Lot of work. Not really looking forward to That part. But all worth it in the end.
What size wheel are you planning on running?

Great job getting her road worthy again. I felt the same when I got my 67 camaro running for the 1st time. Enjoy the epic ride....🫡
Stone Fab is another option for a front kit with everything and has DOM arms
Great job man. I wish it was all 1 and done but sometimes you have to fight for it. Looks good. My crew cab has a 1 piece shaft so I'll have to make my own crossmember.
Check out Kevin Cavalier at Endless Metal fab.....he said he has kits in stock and his kits are Hella nice... i want to use one on KayKays build
That turned out really nice. Where does that sit compared to the back of the cab?
@@KentuckyTheMiniTruckState in front of it. The driveshaft tunnel may have to be widened a bit for clearance of the crossmember but I was already aware of that.
Solid work man. Glad you are making it user friendly for later repairs.
I can't stand to walk around on a dirty floor. Shop a mess but I keep the floors swept all the time. Your frame is looking good. Keep it going.
Man do I miss doing this shit! Had a 93’ single cab Toyota on bags and 18’s when I was in high school! Late 90’s and early 00’s in Mississippi. Love the builds bro!!
La soldadura es excelente, pero en resistencia a impactos no , eso esta mal 😅
Looking good! My shop is always a disaster and it drives me crazy
Think a lot more metal needed to extend those transitions?, spread the load and forces over much bigger area. Point loads to be avoided if possible.
Very well done simple and functional. Do you think you will have to put loops in it for the exhaust to pass threw or will It exit the front due to turbos?
@@KentuckyTheMiniTruckState it will probably exit in the front. If it is too obnoxious I will change some stuff up. I may just do some pie cuts in the exhaust to get it where I need it.
@JMSAUTO could always get some 3 1/2" tube and make some exhaust holes in the crossmember of you had too. Either way awesome work.
Would that be the same for the other side like 4l80e driveshaft going to 4l60e rear differential?
@@FFMotorsports22 Not sure
@ okay well I’ve been fighting my driveshaft for the longest the driveshaft shop made my driveshaft brand new cause I swapped to a 4l80e transmission in my 5.3 Silverado and they welded my straps to close the gap so I’m going to try this ujoint with new straps and let everyone know if it works
I would wedge and box the entire top and bottom. That little thin piece isn’t enough
Like the gusset on the top of the trans mounts to give it more support. That's something I have been told to do more and it definitely helps. Solid work.
Respectfully, I have to say as an engineer that does not look mechanically sound at all, great welds but structurally I’m afraid potentially very dangerous
needs better gussets? right?
It's not breaking, it's self leveling to the lowest spot in the floor. 😂
I am going to do something with mine once I get front and rear kits put on. Looks like a pretty simple mount set up. Well done
Bout to say. No corner brace 😂
Nice job keep up the great work
Turned out very nice.
Hell yea man keep at it the fab work looks killer💪💪
This build is awesome
looks good low, thanks for sharing the process. I like your shop

Sweetness.
What a turd
Love the vids bro. Wanted to ask why you welded the box tubing into the bottom of the existing frame. Would it have been easier to just cut out the frame rails totally and make new ones with the box tubing?
@@CheeHooGarage Thanks! In my opinion it is easier to keep the stock frame rails on the bottom. It adds strength and will also give me something to drag on. In the future I may do “firewall back” build on the mini.
@ I see. I've never done anything like this myself so I'm just trying to learn. I like the way you set up your frame table and had all the body mount locations dialed in. Looking forward to your next video 🤙
Great work. What's your idea for the air ride? I went with the nfamus front and rear kit for my 06 gmc crew😊
@@KentuckyTheMiniTruckState I’ve looked at the nfamus kit. Honestly I’m leaning towards phat phabz. The front kit comes with everything. I won’t have to drill out the spindle, they do, the upper control arm mounts are on a plate not just tabs. The rear will probably be a parallel 4link with watts link. I want to ditch the stock fuel tank anyway so the parallel 4link shouldn’t be an issue.
Much better with the gusset/fishplate. Looking better.
I rarely give props to yt welders. But this is some good shit nice man
@@Tyronius313 Thank you.
I live in a snow state and was running my own shop for awhile and this was 95% of my jobs was frame repair. Great money because no one wants to do it 😂
