i feel like jkd takes years to master
🐆
So it's basically MMA but tuned for real life fighting rather than sport fighting.
Glad i had opportunity to study under Guro/Sifu Dan Inosanto remarkable individual 🥷⚔️🥋🏁✌️
Oh boy. Crossing the street isn't traveling dork. You trek through a jungle -- but first you fly a 747 to Africa (traveling). To Box like Floyd Mayweather you Box. Same for Wrestling, Muay Thai, and Jiu-jitsu. In MMA you master all fighting arts. You slip or parry a punch like a boxer, apply a ankle lock like a Jitzer, or execute a suplex body throw like a wrestler. You don't say "I'm going to choose this, this, and this from Boxing" No man, you master the whole art. Somebody smashes you on the chin with a devastating right cross? You're already knocked out cold.
Even as someone who last did martial arts as a little kid 20 years ago, Bruce's philosophy is easy to understand: practicality. Figure out what works!
DAN IS FULL OF SHIITTTTT, HE KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT BOXING, HE IS SO STUPIIDDD WHEN HE SAID BOXERS DON'T USE THEIR ELBOWS, THEY ONLY USE THEIR FIST, HOW STUPIIDDD CAN THIS MAN BE, BOXERS ARE TRAINED TO USE THEIR FEET, BOXERS HAVE SUPERIOR FOOTWORK, WHY DO YOU THINK THE FAKE FIGHTER BRUCE LEE COPIED MUHAMMAD ALI. ANYONE WHO PAID DAN DESANTO SHOULD DEMAND THEIR MONEY BACK 💰 HE IS A CON ARTIST.
THIS IS A WHOLE LOT OF NONSENSE, MIKE TYSON WOULD EASILY BEAT BRUCE LEE AND DAN DESANTO WITH ONE ARM BEHIND HIS BACK. FURTHERMORE NEITHER BRUCE LEE OR DAN COULD BEAT A SMALL BANTAMWEIGHT THAI BOXER, NEITHER ONE OF THESE GUYS DAN OR BRUCE WERE REAL FIGHTERS, I HAVE SEARCHED FOR EVER, NOT ONE REAL FIGHT THEY HAD, THEY WERE JUST ABOUT TEACHING AND MAKING MONEY.....MIKE TYSON, EVERYONE HAS A PLAN UNTIL THEY GET PUNCHED IN THE FACE....LOL 😅😅😅
On the topic of vision this makes a lot of sense and nobody addresses it...
Yeah fantastic for Bruce... But is it fantastic for me if i want to learn it? No, 'cause it's Bruce's own personal system. Though?...
Rip to the dragon Bruce Lee
great
Jeet Kune Do is just a name don't fuss about it muthafkrs
The mistake of 'trading styles' is that the secret is in the training method not the style.
When he says that Bruce was “no longer in the body” and able to see from a 3rd angle , is it possible that Bruce was so relaxed during fighting that he could astral project his consciousness ? Almost like astral travelling? It makes one wonder ! 🧐
yeah I wouldn't doubt it with all the meditating and energy work he did
I was about 14 when he visited NZ on this leg of seminars. Remember all these techniques and he even signed my Bruce Lee book which I treasure to this day.
Dan Inosanto is one of the big gest frau dst ers in martial arts. His "as many arts as possible" (his words). Was designed to keep students coming in paying him money. Sc s ammer.
Prove it ,challenge his skills in kali knife fighting and hand to hand ,even at his age now.
Scammer😂
Opening some eyes
Very enlightening interview.
Inspirational
The Bruce Lee haters say and this is most likely a lie that Dan Inosanto says Bruce is really not a fighter. There are other Bruce Lee students say otherwise, a martial artist actually to be feared. I understand, Dan cannot speak on behalf of other Bruce close associates. He only speak based on his experience with Bruce. But the testimony of Abdul Jabbar and Jesse Glover, Bruce was gifted martial artist to be feared, bigger fighters couldn’t take him down he was like a “Ghost”, according to Jesse Glover.
Ah Walt...Never grow tired of your humour. Legend 🙏
A good interview. Still think that Bruce Lee’s style was in its infancy and we will never really know what the final scrolls would have looked like.
How do you evolve past simplicity and directness? And how can a guy who trained hardcore 24/7 who was doing hundreds to thousands of reps a day for around 15 years, give a take a few days or weeks off, develop a system that was “still in its infancy”? We aren’t talking about a normal person here. We are talking about someone who trained like a fantastic and was incredibly naturally gifted. The problem with jeet kune do is it’s been so poorly misrepresented for 50 years most people don’t know or underhand the art.
Spot on brother
@@axelstone3131 yes, Bruce was all those things and I think it ridiculous to think he wouldn’t go even further in his style development.
@@alexrain1188 you know what, I’m sick and fucking tired of seeing comments like yours all over TH-cam pushing this idea that you can “evolve” simplicity and directness in martial arts, by making it MORE COMPLICATED by *adding* more styles and techniques. You don’t underhand Bruce’s process and like many focus way too much on what he said and not what he DID. Bruce was stripping, not adding. That is what he DID and that is how he trained. This is fact, not opinion. But you all have this idea it’s “stuck” because it hasn’t added all this new stuff which isn’t even new anyway. It’s all variations of stuff that’s always been around. Links probably don’t work, so I am going to advise you to check out John Paul Daily’s channel. He is a JKD instructor. Watch his recent live stream, simplicity, directness, non - classical and his two most recent shorts, part 1 and 2 about how Bruce actually trained.
@@axelstone3131 that’s not what I said at all. You are just an angry person. If you are seeing those comments everywhere that disagree with you, it’s your own problem.

I thought Bruce had a makiwara board installed on his dash. (which is absolutely badass btw)
Rogério Sergio De Oliveira moro no Maranhão cidade buriti bravo
Wow what a rare video! 🤙🏼
the most dangerous man in the world being interviewed by grant kenny the twat
It's a masterpiece
Very disrespectful while tuhon inosanto was teaching, some one was hitting the dummy harder, just saying, but much respect
The audio wasn’t sequenced properly. That was Dan making the noise.
This interview was deep. I wish I could learn by this man before he leaves us as he is getting up there with age.
He just got his 5 degree black belt in bjj
Bruce Lee is the real father of MMA and I'm not talking about MMA as the sport we see but what people do to protect themselves in the real world.
MMA is a sport. Bruce was the father of JKD>
@@cuzz63 He's talking about mixing different types of martial arts , that is MMA mixed martial arts =MMA
@@bobbyz23 MMA is the term for the combat sport... either way Bruce was not the father of MMA or mixed martial arts. He was the father of JKD which could be considered a philosophy of mixed martial arts.
@@bobbyz23 his post is inaccurate by posting MMA then saying he isnt talking about the sport...MMA is the sport. either he was still wrong.
@@cuzz63 Who was the first martial artist in the 1960’s to incorporate different styles in their training? What does the term MMA stand for?
Well that's a first for me; using Samurai swords! I trained in Iwama style Aikido for years. Not even Saito Sensei used a real sword (ken, jo, tanken) and I trained under him off and on for years (New Zealand, Japan and Australia).
we all know that dan is a true legend and how he describes what bruce believed and how he addapted his traing you really do get that lightening bolt hit you that bruce really did know his stuff and his mindset on how to combine and put stuff together was way ahead of its time, its fair to say he was the father of MMA
Sifu Larry , he was a wondefull martial artist as well as a very nice person . R.I.P.
Beautiful
Very cool 😎
Awesome 😎
imagine this cost the same price as the world's most expensive Ferrari. Because it's Benz.
BRUCE LEE
Bruce lee’s was left hand drive
i though bruce lee car should be fast, but it is slow
Two proficient martial artists and two kind and good-hearted people!
Very good
🤬🤬🤬🤯😡😡
Great video. Thanks! 😀
Awesome there a Aussie Connection with Dan.
If he learned the full kung fu systems he could see there a lot he could have add aswell
There is so many things he knew the list goes on look it up Boxing, jkd, wing chun, kickboxing, fencing, tai chi (for breathing and stretching) jui jistu, jun fan, Muay Thai , and other Chinese martial arts on top of that To say someone doesn’t know all the martial arts just seems like a given. I don’t think ANYONE knows every single martial art in the world
9:37 that’s insane capability 😳😳
