Science Comedy Principle #10: Timing!
Timing is everything. Not just in your delivery, but reading the room and knowing the appropriate time to tell a joke.
For example, our writing team has just concocted the most diabolical, side-splittingly hilarious New York Knicks joke you’ve ever heard. But we know they just lost, so we will be sensitive and wait until the Knicks win a championship before telling it.
So, unfortunately, you will probably never hear this joke.

    I believe in climate change. I believe it is caused by humans. Unless I'm only seeing and hearing from people who clearly falsely claim to believe in it i must be missing something huge. That said my question to climate change promoters is simple. HOW can we ever meet a single goal in reducing humans impact to the planet while at the same time encouraging and rewarding MASSIVE overpopulation? Every first world nation is, by far, the worst place to have population growth. Globally the per capita impact in these nations is many times greater than undeveloped nations. Yet they are all increasing their already insane immigration rates. Biden is looking to increase legal immigration, grant amnesty to 20 million or more here illegally and open the borders to asylum seekers in unlimited numbers. Worse is that these people have birth rates that are 2x the norm. The ONLY way to address climate change is to address the elephant in the room - immigration. Because every new body needs a new source of 100 gallons of water a day, burns several gallons of fossil fuels, emits over 2lbs of carbon a day and we lose 1 acre of open spaces. We can improve these numbers but soon the law of diminishing returns will render efforts mute no matter the expense.

    • @master_spike
      @master_spike 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Immigration doesn't cause population growth. Immigration is in fact economically necessary for developed nations with ageing populations to maintain a young, healthy workforce. Without immigration, developed nations would need to have a much higher natural population growth (ie birth rate) which if overpopulation was so bad for the climate would actually be worse. So yeah immigration is actually really effective at helping with climate change in that respect.

    1) By reflecting away 30% of ISR the albedo, which would not exist w/o the atmosphere, makes the earth cooler than it would be without the atmosphere like that reflective panel set on the dash. Remove the atmosphere/GHGs and the earth becomes much like the moon, a barren rock with a 0.1 albedo, 20% more kJ/h, hot^3 on the lit side, cold^3 on the dark. Nikolov, Kramm (U of AK) and UCLA Diviner mission all tacitly agree. 2) the GHG up/down welling, “trapping”/”back” radiating/delaying/intercepting, 100 % efficient, perpetual warming loop requires "extra" energy which according to RGHE theory it gets from 3) the terrestrial surface radiating that "extra" energy as a near ideal .95 emissivity black body which 4) it cannot do because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules. 1+2+3+4 = 0 Greenhouse Effect + 0 Greenhouse gas warming + 0 man caused climate change. All science backed up by experiment, the gold standard of classical science. www.linkedin.com/posts/nicholas-schroeder-55934820_climatechange-greenhouse-co2-activity-6749812735246254080-bc6K

      Climate crisis doesn't cease to exist if you show that it isn't a runaway effect. Even a change in the global equilibrium temperature of a few degrees would be disastrous, even if it is in equilibrium.

      @@nxgrs74 sure the earth constantly changes, but nowhere near as rapidly as whatever is happening today. Everytime in history such a rapid climate change occurred, it was followed by mass extinction events.
