RIP Mac Davis January 21, 1942 - September 29, 2020
Elvis gonna understand when he was just starting out why some guys were mean to him because he wasn’t the kind of guy that wanted to be mean to anyone. And his story proves just what a good hearted person Elvis was.
Elvis is still my favorite singer , he will live on forever ❤️👑
Poor Elvis all alone rich and EVERYBODY mooching off him. Sad.
Entertainers are sooo damn fake😢
On a cold and gray Chicago mornin a poor little baby child is born in the Ghetto
Mac could make up a song on the spot
Where did he sit after the man told him he wasn't supposed to sit in the same row as Elvis? Sounds like a big baby to me. I didn't come here to hear a negative story from someone who gets his feelings and ego hurt like a child. Bah!
He said the movie was over then.
Mac was a jerk, he stole Glen Campell's girl.
Elvis paid a steep price for the life he lived he was a prisoner of his own fame
A lot to take in, but I am comfortable in my own skin, I have and enormous amount of respect for Elvis, and yet I would have refused to be intimidated by those who managed Elvis and his affairs, it is not a lack of respect, it is more about being honest too yourself. I have a friend who recieved a blue Jean Jacket from Elvis, and at that time, Elvis visited the home of my friend, his Dad and Elvis were car buffs and old military friends, they made plans to share time and shop for unusual autos. My friend had some great stories to share about Elvis and his visits to his home. Truly a great guy, and a special entertainer.
IS THIS PRETEND MAFIA WHERE trump GETS HIS BULLSHIT FROM?
What a great story..Mac Davis was every bit as cool as Elvis was and Elvis never wrote songs like Mac did he was a terrific song writer 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Excellent interview!!!!!!!
How Jerry Reed beat the colonel is my favorite Elvis story but this is right up there too.
I think Mac overreacted.
Always despised old Macky.
Mac is a great story teller. I loved hearing this one and legitimately felt bad for him!
Mac was great in North Dallas Forty
Kudos to the hosts for letting Mac tell his story. So many hosts infuse themselves into every bit of the conversation, not realizing the magic that is the story the guest is sharing.
What's the number Mac ?
Mac Davis starred in "Cheaper to Keep Her" in about 1980 or 81. My girlfriend asked me to take her and we went to the next town that had seating for about 40 people.
It's hard to be humble..❤
I wonder who confronted Mac that night.
It's hard to be humble.
Well that’s done it hasn’t it no mention of ‘parker’ the colonel usually gets credited with all negative stories (gossip) around Elvis that has parker as the bad guy who destroyed Elvis, I mean ‘parker’ forced him to take the dope didn’t he?
Parker wasn't around Elvis 24/7. The Memphis Mafia was. Parker handled the business end--contracts for appearances, record & music deals, and movie deals, promotions. Elvis had plenty of time to hang out, trouble was that he was with this Memphis Mafia 24/7 and let them control a lot. Elvis took the dope because he wanted to,
"On Elvis"
Been back here to hear this many times also
Great story!
You’re just a human and once you become famous people, forget you’re a human with feelings❤
Happy Birthday Linda Davis Nov 26, 2024 ❤
Those guys he thought were his friends were horrible! They wanted his money so they kept people away. Not Charlie but the rest of them.
Hellol
Beautiful!
Oh wow this is great yes Elvis needed more self confident people.around him he surrounded himself with his poor school mates who were all scrabbling yes they were his heart mates but but if he'd had some class around him might've shown him his rights to play aborad etc look don't shit in me I'm just expressing what I think is all.
I saw Jasons TAXI interview and knew I wanted to hear this song a lot in anticipation but on reflection 'am not entirely sure what the fuss is about. I know Jason and he's had a hard time in his life. Am pleased for him but I did expect too much having 20 placements.. Jason only used one chord (E Maj or minor) and made it sound tuneless. I would like to hear the finished production but thats a big ask. He's a lovely guy and he's helpful if you get to know him. If anyone knows in what FILM or TV show it appears then please share it with all of us.
Great Job Collin
I keep returning to this wonderful performance
❤I love it v ry nicely done😂❤🎉🎉I
THIS IS NOT EVEN A GOOD IMITATION FROM AI....OR CHAT BOX... WHATEVER...HE DOES SOUND LIKE A YOUNG WYATT EARP FROM THE MOVIE TOMBSTONE, KURT RUSSELL
Just a wonderful songwriter.
I had a crush on Mac Davis watched his show he would sing for his wife sarah❤❤❤
I wish that Mac would have told Elvis who said that he couldn't sit beside of Elvis. They were just jealous. I love this story. Mac didn't say I like that diamond ring or your car so Elvis would gift it to him. Mac got Elvis' personal home phone number. I love it !
Very. I sang this one also. Your version is pro!
Hello everyone
Mac Davis, John Denver and Roy Clark inspired me to learn guitar watching them as a kid. I loved when Mac would make up a song from a title that an audience member would yell out. He was the best!
Cheaper to keep her
I bet Elvis never told those men to not let someone set on the same row as him! That wasn’t Elvis Presley’s way of doing things. I think those men didn’t want anyone else getting in their click! Elvis was a beautiful man inside and out!❤️🥰
