Jumping over from Scrapbooking With Me per her sweet suggestion 😊 Happy to be here.
You showed the "through the loop" step better than anyone I've watched. I needed this. These tassels are perfect for bookmarks
"Tons of Tags" - that's my jam! lol! Nice idea and kit! Kudos :)
Love, love, love the pumpkins. TFS!
Hi new subscriber. Heard about you from Ms Edith.
Wish you had shown one on regular paper maybe not so hard to follow
I always struggle with making clusters. Thank you so much for the awesome ideas and new kit, Christine!
Stunning!!!
I know you've said most of your viewers love junk journals but THESE are my favorite tutorials! I could watch you do a book box every single day.
Use hair thinning shears. It creates a very realistic looking edge for faux stamps.
WOW You put alot of work into this, that looks like a great project.....thank you for all this. v
Having fun with this
These are just awesome! I really love them. 🗺️ Hugs ❤️🤗
Super cute! ❤🤗
Great idea.❤
I'm so excited!!!! I love your notebooks and book boxes! Best of both worlds! 🙂What a great idea for keeping momentos from my travels. Thank you!
How cool are THESE????
AGHHH!!! I *STILL* haven't been able to find any MilkWeed Seed Pods!!! I saw where I could purchase some online (Both Artificial/Fake & The Real/Natural ones that are dried out), but it feels like paying for them ...& Paying EVEN MORE to have them shipped... Kinda takes away from The Idea of Creating Eco-Friendly Onaments with All-Natural Materials😕... *🧐But I'm NOT giving-up yet!🧐* I've been watching your Series showing how to create a Journal with Yarn & For some reason, THIS VIDEO popped up under the "Let's Put it All Together" Video! *I'm Glad I "Accidentally" clicked on this video bc I heard you say Milkweed Pods grow on Your Property, but they also Grow All Along The Road!!! Uhmmm... So, I made NOT 1... BUT 2 "Special Road Trips" just to look for some of those SeedPods! (Nevermind the fact that I absolutely Love Driving & 1of the things I LOVE MORE than driving is Walking Around in Nature when the weather is nice!) Both times, I went to several different Parks, A State Park, A few Walking Trails, The Memorial Battle Ground & I even spent time scoping out a couple of Rest Stops along the Interstate!!! *Do You Think I ever even THOUGHT ABOUT looking along the sides of the Road for Milkweed?!?!* NOPE! Not while driving down The Highway or down Neighborhood Streets! LOL!!! I think I'm going to get ready & "Take A Sunday Drive" so I can see if I can find some Milkweed Seed Pods (Or SOMETHING I could practice making Ornaments with!) I think it'd be SO MUCH FUN to incorporate This Craft into Our Family Tradition of "Cookie Day!" (The ENTIRE FAMILY gets together early on a Saturday Morning & EVERYONE Bakes Cookies (& Other Sweet Treats) ALL DAY LONG!!! We ALWAYS make sure EVERYONE gets in on The Fun! (From The Oldest to The Youngest... ~ie: Last year was my Nephews Very 1st Cookie Day; He sat on my lap aa he played with Cookie Dough with his bare hands!!! _Of Course, That specific batch of Cookie Dough never got baked, but at least the Infants lacking enough motorskills to stir or form cookie balls, still got to participate! LOL!) I think This Kind of Craft would be A PERFECT ADDITION To Our Family's Special Day!!!
How beautiful! You really did a fabulous job. So beautiful and so inspirational! Hugs ❤️🤗
Love it! I'm glad you got to do it ❤
"Fabri-Whatever!" LOL!
Amazing
These are Beautiful!
Gorgeous Cover!!!
Nice! It definitely looks soft! 🤗❤️
Lovely cover! I bet it’s soft 😂❤️🤗
Wow, this makes it so much easier to keep the folds even, thanks!
Your hands, always so sure!
Looking good!❤
Awesome. I have seen this ruffle before but thought it was machine made. I'll be making these for scrapbooks, gift boxes, home decor..I could go on!
So adorable! And it made me realize that I missed a very good video, so I will go back and check it out! I’m thinking about doing a sort of homemade theme this year. Which definitely lends for a more vintage type look. I am working on the bobbles right now, but I will definitely make some of these as well. Thank you for the awesome inspiration! Hugs ❤️🤗
These are so adorable! And would look great on someone’s tree or found in a journal. So pretty.
Great way to fold the ruffle so they’re even…
I love your large Dresden-Style ornaments too! Where can I find the video. I have searched with no luck! Thank you for the flattened version as they too are gorgeous! Using tiny magnets is genius by the way and I'm excited to give them a go!
Ugh. Sadly the SD card with that video was corrupt and I couldn't get the clips off of it, but I did make this video for inspiration and to show making the fan that I used in so many of the ornaments. Hope it's helpful! th-cam.com/video/SrTI3yBlYFg/w-d-xo.html
Awesome! I love soft fuzzy yarns, and I love journals.
I do too now! Makes me want to learn to knit in all my abundant spare time 🤣
This is Awesome!!!
So glad you found something in the idea...
How beautiful! And what a great idea. I have so much gorgeous yarn and I do not knit. I got it from my friend’s mom who passed away. No idea what to use it for other than tassels. How beautiful if I would use them covers. You are always filled with such amazing inspirations! Hugs 🤗❤️
Aw, thanks so much! I hope you do find a way to use your yarn...it's always such a tribute to the person who left them...💜
Idk what happened, but did video cut off? It ended after you had the cover done in yarn?
Ooops - I mention it in the description, but I should have said so in the video: this is a multipart project with the remaining videos posting this week. All the videos for this Project: Making the Cover (this video) Assembling the Signatures (Coming Monday Nov. 4) Decorating the Cover (Coming Wednesday Nov. 6) Putting It All Together (Coming Thursday Nov. 7) Adding Ephemera & Flip Through (Coming Friday Nov. 8)
Love this! Now write a poem about it! lol hugs, bg
Haha! I'm not sure even you could salvage such a piece LOL!!!
Thank you for such a great tutorial! I’ve made one but struggle with my hand strength. You mentioned that you finished cutting the cereal box board with your paper cutter. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Yes, a paper cutter definitely makes the process much easier - you can find some very affordable ones. This is the one I use for thick cutting - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FSNJCV3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title (And it's come down in price since I bought mine at the height of the pandemic! 🙄 )
These are too cute! I had no idea how easy it is to make the paper ruffle/fan! 🤦♀️ thank you for sharing another awesome project!
💜 These ornaments definitely fall in the "bet you can't make just one" category. You've been warned Robyn. 😂
@@sparkbirdstudios 🤣🤣🤣
Wow - very cool - I shall attempt!
Yes, you must. If only for the calming feeling of getting something so unwieldy under one's control 🤣 like happens in so much of the rest of life
Super-cool project to use up scraps and that we can make them removable! Thank you so much Christine for another awesome idea!
I know! I just love the removable aspect of these. It makes for so many more options!
You are amazing! You are so considerate and kind ❤ Just found this (BEST) covered paper clip video! It is so grand to get a brainstorm upon awakening! I’ve done that too and felt so fabulously bionic for days after my idea worked! 👏🏽 You’ve done a great job and I subscribed and 🔔 1/2 way through this. Thank you 🙏🏽 😊
Thank you Melissa! So glad you found it useful and yes! Receiving an idea makes my marvel at our brains even more...
So cool❤
What paper do you use? Printer required?
Hi sorry I am just seeing your comment. And paper will do more or less. I cont like VERY thin (cheap) copy paper, I feel it's too thin but I know others use it successfully. I like inkjet paper the best for these. Also card stock is too thick. This works with any type of printer. Happy creating!
I cannot understand this. I am so frustrated. Not you must be my brain or lack .
Oh stinkers! Sorry it's not your kind of process. Most people pick it up but a few don't - we're all so fabulously different in out thought processes. Maybe this version is more to you thinking? th-cam.com/video/juIOIVOw9tg/w-d-xo.html
How lovely! Unfortunately, in the UK, we don't have Milkweed. I think I shall have to look for an alternative.
Oh poo! Well we'd all love to know (me especially!) if you're able to come up with a UK material that works. Thanks for watching!
Awesome!! I will try this. Thanks so much for a great demonstration!
