Watching from Nairobi Kenya. Thank you for the clips. Very informative. I wonder if you have made any for Patient Assessment, Airway Management, Cardiovascular and Respiratory emergencies.

We will measure proper length on the good leg, as the injured leg may be contracted shorter with a mid-shaft femur fracture.

I have suffered mild frostbite over and over and over in Indiana. As a result of being homeless and having to walk everywhere. This has happened for about 4-5 years. It never got to the point where I lost any toes, but it is very painful to walk. Not having the proper shoes is also a factor. When I was able to get a small apartment because of the stimulus checks, I could only afford a place from a slumlord and didn't have much heat. Bare wood floors and such. I will be applying for SSI in the near future. Is there a condition for what I have described ? I cannot find anything online.

when securing the patient to the backboard after traction splinting, are we still placing a c-collar and using the headblocks?

Poor technique-if you have to roll the patient for vomiting or other reasons before you secure the torso, you have compromised the spine.

Would a bls airway like a king or in our case a igel even be worth it. If their to the point of being able to accept that airway and were worried about swelling (specifically at the epiglottis and glottic opening) seems like a supragotic airway wouldn't be able to accomplish the job of providing adequate ventilation. Only a intubation /rsi would work or cric of it got to that point? Just looking for clarification

Well I would if I could. It's almost as hard to get into the EMT program as it is to get into the Nursing program.
