Great scape. That huge piece of wood was so impressive - it would have been hard to fail. The only thing I really didn't like was that huge, flat, sawn-off top: it needed to be hugely roughed up - or covered with moss (or something).

Recently I found a piece of a driftwood at the bottom of a massive box filled with all sorts of wood at my local aquarium store, it is driftwood or mangrove (brown-red with many caves and holes etc) but it is a 20c20 piece and it reminds me of Starship Enterprise - no joke, for real - given it is like round and has a tail piece that like a scorpion tail curls upwards and … very cute, guess nobody never bought it not knowing what to do with it; I now see this video and think I buy a same size tank and use it like glued to the back wall and fill the gaps/holes and cavities with buce’s and only gravel and few bigger boulders and Dennerle Mekong sand .. I have a Blau curved 28l tank sitting enpty but it is also too small in that tank.. really clueless as what to do with my Starship wood

Finally someone who understands the holy trinity of Iwagumi… the RSW, rock/sand/wood and not more than 3 plants to give the aquatic artwork its true meaning if not meant for a zillion fish but for decor and zen only.. though the foreground plants ruined it at the end and better have kept the central point open to gaze at the beauty of the centerpiece

I have started a 44 gallon with ADA Amazonia. Ammonia is through the roof as expected, nitrates are at 30 and no nitrites. I have been adding ADA batter 100 to get the beneficial bacteria. I have been changing the water and replacing it with RO water. I am injecting CO2 but the tissue cultures all died and I lost $300 worth in plants. The tank is at 5.4 pH even though I am replenishing the water with minerals. Instead of a nice planted tank, I have an algae farm. Can I just stop the madness and just leave the water in the tank, stop the CO2 and turn off the light? add beneficial bacteria and wait for the tank to cycle or is it too late?

Is the tree a small medium or large tree of the website?

When you drain the tank after the period of waiting is down and the dark start is comeplete, do you add new fresh water in or do you put back the water your took out that’s was apart of the dark start method?

Im sorry but what part of this is yhe dark start method. You had yhe pight on the entire time.

Will this work even without Co2 injection?

is this meant as a terrarium only? I filled mine up with water for a small planted aquarium (no livestock) but realized the water pressure from above might break the seals at the bottom eventually...

Incredible, echinodorus red diamond to a extent like ADA cube garden mini m. It looks fascinating as a set up, but won't the echinodorus pose a problem when it grows? What solution did you think of?

I’ve always used a twinstar M5 , I’ve had BBA here and there on every aquascape in the past three years ( not much , just annoying bits here and there ) , in may 2023 I did a rescape and decided not to use the Twinstar M5 , unbelievably i have less BBA than I’ve ever had, just the tiniest bit on the bucephalandra which is easily eradicated with APT FIX, my aquascape is the best algae free tank I’ve had in ages , so I would say the jury is out weather the Twinstar M5 is necessary. Beautiful setup👌

This is an expensive setup; normal people can't afford this... I wonder how long it will last you and the cost of maintenance?

Lay-out pěkný. Za mně nemá smysl dávat po týdnu doctora, když se teprve tvoří nitrifikační bakterie. Tím akorát přibrzdíš proces koloběhu čpavku. Jakou jsi měl časovou osu přidávání rostlin a živočichů od založení akvária?

Great set up! How is the water parameter when dealing with Seiyru stone? Would it be difficult with loads of frequent water change?

Nice setup, but how it will go for a long term... Without a lid and moisture, most of those plants will dry out. What is your suggestion for daily/weekly maintenance?
