When I worked at Walmart it was sheer torture. For a while I was a people greeter....one day another greeter told me to dance nd sing for everybody. Every time someone walked by she would tell me to dance and sing for them. This went on for 3 days. One day she told me to dance and sing for a manager....he said "don't do it". The customers and employees were all looking at me doing my song and dance. I was humiliated but I was shy and didn't want to rock the boat. On the 3rd day I realized that I felt like I was back in school, so I said no to the performing. Another time I was greeting in the lobby and a cart pusher , who was about 40 years old found a half drank bottle of soda in the cart and he tried to get me to drink it. I immediately ran and told the store manager and he said that the cart pusher was very nice and he couldn't believe he would do anything like that. Then went on and told me that everybody has someone that they don't get along with at work. The stories of what happened to me when I worked there are endless so I won't go into everything. I now have mental and emotional health issues

I have insecurities but I don't go around bullying people and trying to get them fired. I appreciate you discussing this.

Not all of the black community has reclaimed the N word. You can tell it's still taboo to say the full word. That shows it's horrible power.

I’m Gay and live in Dublin . My partner and I moved from London recently . I can say I’ve had mainly positive experiences here so far .

I'm from the states and there are many openly gay people here. I would imagine, if I went to Ireland and said, Hi, I'm gay! The Irish guy would punch me right in the mouth! There are no gay people in Ireland. I think one time about 40 years ago, there was an gay midget in Dublin. But he was in the Circus and just passing through, so that doesn't count. If you say, you're gay in Ireland, the Irish women will give ya a beating! he he he I would say, Ireland is a very manly country.

My mum refuses to move to Ireland with me, because of the lack of tolerance towards LGBTQ folk, and also the lack of Christian churches. We visited County Kerry in 2020. Ireland is a beautiful country, but because of the homophobia, l cannot persuade my mum to move to Ireland with me. Sending love and support from West Sussex. 🏳️‍🌈🕊️

Great honest interview but I have to say that this claiming back the Q word in the same way the black community have reclaimed the N word is just wrong and a major part of the problem. To reclaim the Q word and use it so openly and then be so offended by the "that's so gay" term, is so contradictory and must be a massive headfcuk for the young community. Progress made but still much to do.

Thank you for this interview. It has helped me alot. I am going through a very tough time at the moment myself. This year has been so tough, I have pretty much lost everything with covid. The dark days and the isolation has brought up a lot of bad stuff that happened to me growing up as a gay guy in west of Ireland. Thank you guys.

This is disgraceful behaviour and brings trades people into disrepute. That lady was so scared that she got her elderly mother in for back up. Those guys sound like cowboys and need to be reported. The fact that he even brought a second guy round to her home to me suggests that one they're not genuine plumbers, and two this girl is not safe. Whether he was just a cheeky chappie or not, he crossed a line big time. I've had plenty of tradesmen in my home over the years sat and had a cuppa with them, had the banter, but this is reportable

this walk is pretty much my favourite since I moved to Dublin, I have done it 4-5 times on my rest day of the week and apart from what is shown in the video if you are lucky you can find some seals and dolphins, some dron takes are amazing!! Nice video :)
