Kinugawa Onsen Town is known as the third ugliest place in all of Japan.
My curiosity got the best of me and I realized I need to see this for myself.
So it was only natural that I go visit the town and see for myself. What makes it so ugly? Is it really ugly. There’s got to be something more. So lets go.

Hi Ron thanks for everything!!
Thank you, glad you’re enjoying it. You’ll get to check out this place too. 😬
Sorry if the settings in the video are a little bit bouncy. I’m working with a new camera and this was part of the grand experiment. Thanks for watching and joining me. 😬
Hell man that's sad
Actually in real life it’s quite amazing. 🤩
Very helpful videos!
Thanks.
I LOVED TAKING A TOUR WITH BUNGA
I remember taking your ramen tour, it was amazing talking to you about the history of ramen and the East Asian history of the region. I visited around cherry blossom season. I’m wondering if you have any regrets about moving to Japan?
No regrets. Challenges and learning.
Very informative video!! Thank you!
Bunga, I wish you the best of luck with this venture! You were my wife and I's ramen tour guide last year on our trip in Tokyo. It was one of our most memorable experiences while being there. I plan on visiting again next year solo, and will definitely consider booking a private tour with you to get a feel for what's outside of Tokyo. Hope you're doing well!
Thank you so much for the message. I’m looking forward to a new adventure with you when you come. Let’s gooo. 👍🏼 my greetings to your Mrs. too.
Like the *SwapMeet* in Hawaii! Thank you for sharing!
Yep,I wanna be an urban explorer
Can you explain what Y➡️$ 145.28 means? As well as $➡️Y 142.72? Is Y➡️$ saying you'll need 145.28 yen to get 1 USD? While is $➡️Y saying for $1, you'll receive a lesser 142.72 yen? If so why is that? That doesn't make sense.
Those are fees. And the costs of exchanging yen to dollar or dollar to yen. As of writing this Dollar to Yen 1.00 USD is 154 yen Yen to Dollar 156 yen is about 1.00 USD
1. Oh. Is there a way to have money $ exchanged to yen without fees? 2. Are currency exchanges the lowest fees compared to anywhere else you can convert dollars to yen from? 3. Is it better to bring cash to exchange to Yen In Japan than to exchange to yen in the US (which means I'll already have pocket yen before arriving in Japan)?
@@lechonmaster 1) No, any currency exchange has fees associated and they won't be the same between the same 2 currencies depending which currency you're going from and to. 2) Your best bet would be paying via credit card if that's possible, assuming you're not taking on any foreign transaction fee (call your bank) 3) Do not exchange currency locally. Everyone says your home country will charge you a higher fee than if you were to convert it in Japan
So most places closed on New Years Eve? What about day before NYE?
Some places close early on New Year’s Eve and a lot of places are closed New Year’s Day. Some places open half day.
Can’t wait to experience this!,

Yes exactly what I needed
Thanks Bunga logic!
Its really helpful but my drone cant registered by my name its really hard its not wrong name at my name but the web register at the dips its really hard i cant register pllease help
If you have a long name or have a middle name you might have to omit the middle name or write first name and middle name together.
Absolutely number 1 should have Ben public transportation stops at 11pm. I new this in advance
Ooh this is a good one. Not all but some JR lines stop after 2300 and after midnight they all stop.
Splendid work!
Thank you 🙏🏼 I appreciate kind words.
Thank you for this!
And thank you for the comment. May you boldly go and discover Japan 🇯🇵
So interesting!
👍
Great!
what a great video uncle ron!! i watched this whole thing hahaha
Now come to japan already 😬
Can I now get suica card? I've not yet been to Japan. Coming in December
Pick it up at the airport when you arrive in Japan. They also sell them at tokyo station. But I recommend getting the Suica visitors card from the Airport.
@@bungalogic suica still says on its Web that they aren't making them
@@johnblake8555 you can pick up visitor suica at the airport and limited supplies at Shinjuku. Just met a couple today that picked some up. The key is get it at the airport. They are harder to find around tokyo. The alternative is get Passmo, works the same. Try this if you’re having trouble. Or if you have an iPhone you can add a “transit card”
@@bungalogic thank you
how bout adding suica card on iphone, do i still need to pick up a physcial suica card?
Thanks for your tips. Where do you buy an Esim?
In Japan they have eSIMs at some convenience stores. You get a paper with a code
I just ate one d’oh
Did you have to wait long?😬
@@bungalogic nah, I went to the Shibuya’s shop at 6:40 and only fews left over. I bought it anyway and it still taste good 👍🏻
There’s a special giveaway in this video… can you find it? Watch to the end. 😜
Yummo, interesting black type of sugar!😊
Great video! Question, can you just take the train round trip in a circle completely Around the city? Or is it that you can't really see anything while riding the train?
Thank you for watching. You can take the Yamanote line around the loop it takes about an hour or so to complete the circle. And the view from the train is actually fascinating especially if you are new to the city and have never seen it.
@@bungalogic awesome! Thanks so much for your reply, And love from Florida USA
HI. Great info. What is the easiest way to get from Asakusa to the love statue in Shinjuku? Thanks.
Ginza Line G19 to G15 transfer Oedo Line E09 to E28 Exit out A1(B2) and you are there. 😬
@@bungalogic Thanks.
Hello thanks, for your tips. What do you recommend for a group of 4 (4*)
Family with kids or adults? Checkout my tours at farsidejapan.com

This is such a down to Earth, simple, yet super helpful video. I will be traveling to Japan for the first time in 3 weeks, and I am very excited!
Thank you, I’m happy you enjoyed. Enjoy Japan. 🇯🇵
7-day JR Pass is about $360. Not sure where that $500 cost came from.
You are correct 👍🏼 Ordinary = ¥50,000 ($360 USD) Thank you for pointing this out. It’s import to know the difference. My calculation is based on Premium Premium Green Class = ¥70,000 ($500 USD) And you can check prices here from jr pass site. www.jrpass.com/buy-the-japan-rail-pass-online
Looks like he used the price for the 7-day Green JR Pass of 70,000 Yen. The 7-day Ordinary JR Pass is 50,000 Yen per adult (around USD $350).
Excellent info from your point of views for reference.
Be aware, that most Japanese people are timid and don't like to be engaged out in public.
Make Reservations To Popular Tourist Attractions Before Heading To Japan.
You can obtain a Suica Card through Klook instead of waiting until you arrive in Japan
Wow that’s a good idea. If you have an iPhone you can also add it as a transit card and you’ll be ready to go the moment you arrive.
@bungalogic yes. I'm waiting for JR to add the suica to American Android users' phones in 2025
I use the suica for all things conbini besides for public transportation
Ooh yes that’s a good thing to point out. Suica is Magic
Is there anything I missed? Please let me know. Thanks. 🙏🏼
👍
Coming from a right hand side traffic to left will be very hard to be used to.
Yes it’s very weird from the start but you might be surprised how quickly you adjust. 😬
@@bungalogic yeah hopefully i just adjust into it quickly. But first i gotta get my money with a job here in Sweden were i live, and then hopefully i can find a job in japan because japan is a country ive wanted to live in for a long time. I cant think of any other country to build a family (hopefully) in.
