Hi, I just got this quick track adapter and I had to improvise a different way to install it on my rack. I'm sure you found, just as I did, that the adjustable bracket, for attaching it to the side rails, doesn't have enough adjustment to fully fit the rack, so I couldn't use it to install the adapter. I have a rack on my bike, a hybrid bike, non electric, no disc brake, and it has a top plate, which I had to remove, in order to make it work. I had a piece of aluminum diamond plate, and cut it to a size of 3.5 inches by 11.5 inches, and first drilled holes to attach the plate to the rack. I put the adapter on, took measurements of where I wanted it to go, marked the holes and drilled them on my drill press. I didn't use the 5 mm screws that came with the adapter and ended up going to a hardware store and bought longer ones, as well as a few nylok nuts to hold it in place. This setup works great. I found this quick track adapter to be very useful for attaching any rear trunk bag, with the quick track system, but it seems to only be able to fit a few select bike racks, in the way the manufacturer intended for it to be installed, and most people will have to do some modifications to make it work on their bikes.

I emailed support for the same exact reasons you had. Wont fit MTM plugs and non removable QC ends. Really a shame. I was able to make MTM to work by cleaning the O ring seat in the active QC it was filled with glue and making the O ring sit proud.

Noticed that too on mine, little ridge left on pads. My problem is when i change the pads out that the caliper doesnt reset to original, i end up adjusting it in. What about maintainance as far as fluid?

How’s this working so far? My only problem with that install is the fact that the majority of the outside edges are not supported thus making the adapter “flex” and the trunk bag may come out of the tracks…. Just my guess…

The main reason that the caliper seats 5mm too high is that the mounting bracket attached to the frame is the wrong one.

Could this be used with the trunk bag that has expanding side bags?

Why did you not used a wider plate, similar to your Himiway installation, That would have supported the entire Quicktrack since you were so concern about keeping the rack level.

I liked the idea of mounting the Quicktrack on top of the wood for stability. I believed the original 4 holes would have been sufficient as it was designed. I would not drill additional holes on the Quicktrack in fear of compromising the structure and creating weak points.

M1 is for V-Brake levers which pull more cable than Road Brake Levers. Can't use this for levers designed for road caliper or canti brakes. R1 is for short pull levers. Using the wrong levers affect performance. Also the Juintechs are not designed for 140mm rotors. They want you to use 160mm rotors for less heat build up.

Hey, would you happen to know what kinda female adapter i would need for my ride1up 700? I think its a barrel/DC5521 but im not 100% sure. Wouls appreciate your advice Also upon doing more research it seems i might need to get their 3A 'mini' charger cause my battery charger says 2A MAX

They don't even basecoat the frame before they spray the frame...I'm not impressed with the purchase. And being in England...4mph fixed throttle assist...they don't mention that before you buy them and it isn't down to them to change it if we see fit. They want you to jump through hoops to report the problems, asking for this, that, the other information, email after email. I won't be recommending them to anyone, that's for sure. Great informational and honest review video buddy, wish I'd seen it before I purchased one

I can't seem to find the name of the adapter needed to plug into a rad runner external battery. Nowhere seems to have the name of any ports. Any help would be much appreciated

You made an adapter.

This is the only one of many bicycle disc brake videos I've seen addressing the pad position on the rotor. Another factor that can alter that is using / not using those "ball and socket" style washers. A set of those can change the pad location as well. A black sharpie marker drawn across the pad rub area of the rotor makes a good test indicator. Make a line, operate the brakes, see where the marker has been rubbed off.

Can I buy one of these custom pieces of metal from you? I don't own a dril and I'm not handy. Do you sell on eBay? Great video, thank you.

If you would have put the aluminum stock under the rack instead of on top of it, the Topeak Omni Quicktrack would have set flat on top of your rack - without the extra pods. All you would have needed is longer screws to secure it to the aluminum stock underneath. In fact you would not need to attach the aluminum stock to your rack with countersinking. You just drill holes in the stock to match the Quicktrack holes and use the aluminum stock as a clamping surface. But thanks, your video got me started in the process.

I like the way you have adapted this Topeak Omni quicktrack TA2406 to the larger rack. The Topeak Omni quicktrack TA2406 is at least $32.00 plus shipping. Where did you get it for $18?

I plan to purchase this charger when Luna gets restocked in 4-5 weeks. At home I will charge at 1 amp and 80% for daily 2 mile trips. Away from home I will go for 1/2C or 5 amp setting and only going to 90% and maxing out the recharge rate.

Since you are screwing the adapter into the bar stock, couldn't you put the bar stock UNDER the rack? You could file divits for the crossbars of the rack so that ot can't slide at all.

I added the adapter to my Aventon Aventure. I removed the square rubber plugs from the ends of the bottom pieces and put zip ties through the holes to secure it to the rear rack.

R1 one stands for "Road" bikes most likely and M1 stands for "Mountain" bike?

Thanks for sharing. Just purchased a Lectrix XP 2.0 (due in on 27 Oct) and my wife has this bag on her current bike. I'm sure I'll be making this mount for the 2.0.

FYI Don't plug the charger in to the wall until the connection the battery is made. When finished charging disconnect from wall before battery.

That’s normal. These calipers are 100% compatible with the Himiway. You’re way over thinking it. Just install them exactly the way the mechanical brakes were and call it a day.

Does the charger stop trying to charge once it reaches the desired charge percentage you set it to charge to in case you left the battery on the charger for a few days? For instance, if I set it to charge to 80% of capacity and then forgot to disconnect it for a few days would the battery be 80% charged and would both the battery and charger be ok?

The BMS is inside of the Himiway battery casing ✌👋👋
