Welcome to Art!
TEXTURE! Texture is one of the Seven Elements of Art: Color, Line, Shape, Form, Space and Texture.
This is a demonstration of a project to explore texture in art. It involves finding different things in your home environment that can be glued done in sections on a piece of paper to form a quilt. These can be things with actual texture that you can physically feel such a rough or smooth paper, fabric, etc.
Don't have the dozen pieces that you will need to complete the quilt? No problem! You can create implied texture. Color or draw a section that merely looks like it has a different texture!
When your quilt is complete, it will be a beautiful selection of textures that can be visually appealing as well as to the touch.
Feel free to go at your own pace and pause the video as needed!
