飛翔鮎 (HishouAyu) is a 2003 PC shmup that's inspired by toaplan games like flying shark. Awesome game i highly recommend. This was played on the normal difficulty. There is also a harder mode called Ayu! Ayu! Ayu! clearly referencing Same! Same! Same!

Nice one! I didn’t know you could mash laser for extra energy. Type C is a super fun ship imo, I like the focus on point-blanking. If only the phantom wasn’t so busted haha!
Type c Is basically easy mode because there’s a glitch with energy recharging and you can stay in phantom mode most of the game. Im working on a Shin/slash clear atm and it’s definitely a step up in difficulty
Is aleste 2 (power strike 2) local player? Can you play it with a friend on the couch for example?
I don’t think so. I just tried to see but didn’t see the option to add a second player
