This system is NOT only for the use of CW operators but for other mode users too. It is NOT to be replaced by any other logging system, but as a live reference as to who is on air and who was on air, with what mode, Freq and time. Thanks really interesting and I like the additional reporting info available. For hose wondering what the COOL actually looks like, and how it works, the video at th-cam.com/video/vL9uaHgWoCM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uLzsK378tNplLat6 explains and shows that. Wondering what the significance though is of the URL for the COOL being radarops?
Radar ops was the orignal URL Eddie used back then, but Radar in SA battled to take off properly, so to make things easier he used that URL to point to the COOL..not sure if you have subscribed. But here is the latest video th-cam.com/video/ENOSKV9Ntmo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=T_8ocaoljz6tspPI

One of these days I will be out there making radar QSOs, mike. I have the batteries, the QCX and hopefully the portable dipole. With the passive tuner too.and nanoVNA
My hearing loss now prevents me from using CW and I have just about given up on ham radio because of that.
That is so sad, but thx for watching 👀

I assume you have tried with a different key and cable?
Yes I have tried with different key's even the straight key messes up. Tried battery too and different power settings. It might be a track joint or dry solder joint. I've emailed the UK Yaesu with this video to try see whats the problem. Factory reset will not work. If I hold down the PTT in SSB mode one hears random clicking, like the relays are not knowing what to do.
The problem is fixed now, a firmware reboot fixed it

What do you mean by "radar station"?
RADAR stand for Rapid Deployment Amateur Radio. After every 5 contacts you move 1km on foot and re-deploy. It's kind of an exercise event
