Very much like TS-Plus as it makes my life easy with not having to setup and configure Microsoft's butchering of TS for very small networks. First, give whoever created this video a real *hard* kick. That music it way too loud (I know there is a volume control that can adjust that) because I had to turn the volume down to the lowest possible setting before it went to MUTE. The beat of the music is also WAY too fast and screws up the viewing of the video with the stupid fast flashes of the screen shots that don't stay visible for long enough. I had to replay the video at 0.75 slower speed so the information could become digestible and that also helped make the music less sharp and annoying. I have recommended and installed TS-Plus in business and without me having to dive in a read through the manuals etc, does port 443 need to be open (just need confirmation as I am 99.99999% sure of the answer) on the Modem for this to work? At present at one small site 3389 is open and because it is open it is visible to hackers. This has resulted in a hack attempt every 3 seconds and fills the enlarged Security Log in less than 15 hours. I know there are options around this but getting clients do *not* to pay out money for something they can't see as a problem can be a battle.
Hello, thank you for your feedback ! Yes TCP / UDP port 80/443/3389 requires to be opened depending your connection method preference. Hacking attempt are a common thing which requires to adopt some basic security measure like disabling your administrator account and use TSplus advanced security (previously named RDS Knight) which blocks hacking attempt and prevent ransomware with great efficiency. @@TerminalServicePlus Thank you and I looked at TS-Plus Advance Security but it costs 4 times more than the Standard package renewal that I have at all my small clients. I do not like having 3389 open let alone the additional 80 and 443. That gives an extra 2 attack vectors and then they are open to a DDOS due to hacking traffic flooding their bandwidth. Ok so that's not true but I am trying to make a point. I can remove the 3389 threat but the clients do not want to spend the very small amount to stop it. The Administrator account is the second thing I take care of once I have finished configuring the Server. Even if I didn't, I would like to see you try to brute force a 43 character password and have the account disabled for 60 minutes if you enter 2 wrong passwords in sequence. As mentioned, I do really like your program and will keep recommending and using for as long as moron code monkeys write programs that don't have a client side and require you to run their monster in Terminal Service (Remote Desktop Services) mode directly from the Server. Damn stupid in today's age IMO, but what do I know, I am only a network engineer. It is like we are heading back to the Mainframe Age and dumb Terminals. What Server anti-virus does TS-Plus work best with? (please don't say AVG 😨) Thanks. 👍
@@josephking6515 You should be fine with any of your preferred antivirus to go with TSplus and we do not advertise for any of these in particular. When connecting with from the web portal, only the 80 or 443 port will be necessary, and it is possible to change the 3389 to another port if you decide to connect from a connection or RDP client.
