All these programs need to be revamped but people will have a fit because people love to think they are getting something for nothing or entitled. Personally the government needs to be out of anything in order for it to work as intended.

I tryed to apply for food stamps they gave me a week to contact someone to submit my claim Every day called ...and waited on the phone for 3/half hours They even hung up after I was on a call waiting list Then sent me a letter saying I was denied Because I didn't call to connect with an agent Wow 🎉 Really is this what seniors have to go through to ask for food 😐 Such a disappointment! 🎉

This information is wrong. Social Security IS counted toward a senior's income, AND it will decrease his or her benefit. I just had mine reduced from $292 to $23 because the SS increased by $40/mo. I researched online and those are the rules, so correct your video. Don't give people wrong information.

First you have to pass the Gross or unearned income, that will determine eligibility. And the medical deduction is based on what you paid out of your pocket this is for specified person who is 60 or older or receiving SSI benefits if you don't meet those requirements that does not apply to you , medical deductions does not apply to you either if you don't meet those requirements. When a workers runs your information through the stare system she will see what monthly benefits you receive from Social security, and if you are employed most times she can obtain your income through our system if the worker cannot obtained you income she will request it, keep in mind that per federal policy the worker is required to count Gross income before any deductions are taken out of your pay, the same for Unearned income such as SSI, SSA, unemployment, child support, to obtain better information call your local DSS office.

What age is consider a senior for these discounts? California gives senior discount over 65 but New York only gives discount to senior over 65.

😊It doesn't matter that AARP is a democratic program it helps everyone. They offer alot of great programs for seniors. That's what is important helpful programs and information. I'm thankful and grateful.
