The History and Meaning of the Idiom As Bald as a Coot
The idiom "as bald as a coot" is a colorful expression used to describe someone who is completely bald or has very little hair. The phrase paints a vivid picture of the coot, a waterbird known for its sleek, bald head. While the coot’s lack of feathers on its head is a natural characteristic of the bird, the idiom uses this feature to create a humorous and easily recognizable comparison to human baldness.

    For a group centred on following the Apostle Peter,it’s a remarkable part of their practice,that they never took the Eucharist. A clear sign of their sense of unworthiness! If your in doubt check out, Professor Helen Nicholson’s book “The Templars”,the Benedictine pattern of prayers were observed, and the Eucharist was never partaken! For the followers of Benedict there is some clear speculation that he didn’t exist,although his monastic rule was well sought after! Worth chasing up Lawrence’s book on monasticism and it’s development.

Then they demanded Benito to appear at the Grand Fascist Council, just to depose him and incarcerate him, because they didn't trust him anymore. The same people that moved him into power removed him out of power.

    Benjamin Franklin was key to including the Patent Office in the US Constitution. Interestingly, Franklin never sought or received any patents. His most important invention was the 'Franklin Stove'. It was the first 'labor saving device' devised for farmers in hundreds' of years. By moving the fire out of the hearth and into the middle of the room, the efficiency of wood burning was greatly enhanced. Farmers in New England had traditionally set aside thirty full days a year to cut the winter's firewood; with the Franklin stove, this was reduced to three days! Until the end of his life, Franklin would sometimes be approached on the street by strangers with tears of gratitude in their eyes and embrace him.

    There is no such connection with deer and whales. whales are more likely related to wolfs than deer as it is wolf like carnivores named indohyus and pakicetus who evolved into whales. And this reflect onto the modern whales diet as well. Name any herbivorous whale if you can.

    • @Factoids23
      @Factoids23 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need to google it because it is true. - Whales are descendants of a miniature deer-like creature that walked on four legs almost 50 million years ago12. The exact name of this creature remained a mystery until the discovery of Indohyus' fossils in the India-Pakistan region1. Whales and deer share a common ancestor, which is why they are related2. About 50 million years ago, the ancestor of today’s whales called Pakicetus used to walk on land as well

    on the efficiency of conversion - about 33% - towit, almost 2/3 is lost to rejected heat. a combined cycle natural gas plant can get up around 60% efficient. Nuclear plants are actually about the same as coal on efficiency of conversion, they just have far less emissions and interruptions in service through the full year.

    I find this to be an amazing fact. As a Cub fan, I was only aware of his time with the Cubs and who he played for before and after the Cubs. Because of his performance with the Cubs, I am amazed that he pitched as long as you stated. Persevere!
