It was good to go somewhere different and ride a few new trails. Really enjoyed the flowy bits and look forward to riding there again sometime in the future.
REBOOTING MY TRANSITION SENTINEL

I like to think of mountain biking in the 90s as heady times, just like motocross in the 80s. When manufacturers were entering new grounds and exploring avenues yet to be discovered, let alone refined. GT was always an exciting brand to me, not just for the cool and interesting range of bikes they produced but also the gorgeous colours they had back then. Oh did I lust a LTS DH when I was young...

THREE STAGES OF BUILDING A TRAIL

Here's a compilation of clips from a short MTB trail I built First - With your brain filled with endless ideas & possibilities, you'll love it! Second - You slowly start to realise you're running short of space / materials for those features you were dreaming about. Testing, tweaking, grinding until you find a solution. Third - The dirt isn't fluffy anymore but the mistakes you've made teaches ...

After waiting on a set of 27.5inch Zeb forks for the Transition Scout I finally got to try them for the first time.

LAST TIME ON FULL 29" WHEELS?
มุมมอง 3036 หลายเดือนก่อน
I've had a lot of fun riding a few different 29 inch wheel enduro / trail mountain bikes. Transition's Sentinel (Alloy frame) has felt the best blend of them for sure. Speed, stability and a weight not much heavier than the earlier carbon framed Intense.. The stand out has been just how nimble and poppy it is and no 29er I've ridden has ever felt as much fun! I'd wanted to record more on its fi...

Sir, can I fit a 2.5 rear tire?, looks like the frame have enough tire clearance for 62mm tires. Thanks.
The widest I have tried is a 2.3”. I don’t think there is enough clearance to run a 2.5”
@@dazmos_65 thanks for Your reply Sir.

Great video. Class bike wash as well 🤙🏻
Thanks mate 😂🤙
I visit van road all the time for the jumps and pump track and never knew these trails exsited! Are they easy enough to find🚵
They're pretty easy to find. Go past them until you come to a t-junction further on, then go left. Most of the climb up isn't too bad for a normal mountain bike either (except the open bit)
I know this is an old video, i'am planning to buying m16 same year as yours. Did you feel any benefit of that huge 9.4inch travel at the back, while being on 27.5 wheels. To me this is the selling point, along with VPP suspension. I had santa cruz v10 back in 2014...
The earlier M16s had that longer travel option, that you could adjust by changing the position of the shock. The one I had was fixed at 210mm travel. I found that was more than adequate
That first clip, God, he shifted in the wheelie.
Great weather for it and fair play, you're absolutely flying on your trails, well deserved too. The build looks stunning as well Dar. Great vid 👍
It’s making up for that cruddy weather we had hasn’t it mate! Now we can get stuck in and enjoy. I’m loving it and it’ll be nice to try it on some longer flowy trails soon. Thanks Rich 🍻
I remember seeing KS on a Yamaha FJ600 at Sears Point in the 1980’s. I remember thinking - “ this guy is mental.” He grasped the horns of a wobbly motorcycle and made its his bitch. God bless you.

Thanks 😊
Revin Kevin!!
Some pilot! Can get one of these in NX build for £2.5k new - what u reckon is that a good deal? How is it for climbing?
That’s a bargain! I payed about £2k for the frame and shock lol. I didn’t notice any downsides climbing compared to other 29er’s I’ve had. But it’s just so much fun on the descents!!
@@dazmos_65 thanks for the reply. They look really solid frames.
No problem Frank! Good luck with it all 🍻

Great edit to watch and the bike is amazing.👍
I didn’t think my fingers would recover from the sanding 😭 It was a really fun project! Thanks Rich 🤘
Beautiful mate 👌
Thanks mate 🍻
Bike looking great Dar and hope you get to where you want your grip to be, as soon as. Conditions just slip and slide north Cardiff, looks much better at Smilog
Spending a bit more time on the bike seems to be helping now. A few of the trails are pretty blown out up there but the grip is pretty good. Thanks Rich
Hello darren🤝
Hi👋
2019 - 2023 labomba are recalled in at least North America and Australia. Free Freshy!
It's the same over here in the UK with recall. I'll pin your comment to make more people aware. Thanks! Hopefully some nice freshy colours too
@@dazmos_65Nice! That's good to hear, and reassuring where I'm from Canada but ordered mine from Chain Reaction Cycles.

Thanks!!!
Nice build, Darren! Just upgraded to a Bomber DJ on my La Bomba as well and I am loving it. I am also considering the Halo Chaos rear wheel. How is it holding up so far, especially the hub?
Great to hear you’re enjoying the Bomber’s. They’re a massive upgrade from standard forks. The halo chaos has been very reliable. The hub, rim and spoke tension have stayed consistent, despite lots of cases and landings to flat. I’m running chaos on my other bikes too( trail / dh) and find them to be dead reliable. Thanks Paul!
@@dazmos_65 That sounds promising. Thanks for your insights. I also saw on their website that they give a 5 yr warranty (compare to i9 2 yr warranty), and I hear their warranty is pretty good. Also, it looks like they sell spare springs, pawls, driver bodies and, most importantly, ratchet rings, and they offer a ratchet ring removal tool. I think this is key because with my current hub I can replace the pawls but not the ring, so as soon as the ring starts to wear the hub is done. So all of that makes me think the Halo hub would be a good purchase. Probably going for a complete rear wheel with the Chaos rim. Exciting!
No problems all the best with it 🤙
Unreal... Suzuki pass a Honda NSR....
Great movie, lots of footage from 1994, quite rare to other movies here
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching.

Sounds like you had a great time there! It’s a lovely area and a great place to get away for riding and relaxing

This is neat, haven’t seen this kind of content before. I ride dirtbikes and trail run so I appreciate seeing the effort that does into trails.
I didn’t film much of the building but had quite a few pov clips. And it was fun to try and show it from start to finish. Thanks @eighty_eight that’s appreciated!

Kevin schwantz is best!!
I prefer the 500cc significantly better than the electronic controlled four strokes of modern Moto GP... these guys could ride....
just found your channel bro im back to riding after a amputation from a mtb accident and just been forrest of dean for the first time alot has changed in a year and this video man i hope ur well
Yo that’s awesome to hear you’re back out riding again!! Haven’t been there much recently and noticed some changes when I was last there. What did you think of the trails there?
That is a sweet bike build and properly thought out. 🤟
Running the same brand definitely helped. It was a lot less hassle, being able to swap most of the parts over. I'd love to say my invis job was thought out but that always gets me confused😅 Thanks Rich 👊
