Hunting Bison and Axis Deer & The Arkabutla Physically Challenged Hunt | Buck Junkie Podcast Ep. 99
This week, we recap our recent hunting trips, Jamie’s experiences with Hope Outdoors & The Arkabutla Physically Challenged hunt, and some of the BEST deer we’ve got so far!
#hunting #outdoors #wilderness
On today’s episode of the Buck Junkie Podcast, we’ve been gone the past couple weeks but we’ve been getting down on some SERIOUS hunting here lately (00:47)! Malcom and Jamie went out to the stands this past week, and Jamie got the short end of the stick (05:05)... Mikey and Will went out looking for a couple does but came back with some KILLER bucks (08:40)! It may be our first year using it, but BOY has that standing corn made a HUGE difference (16:45). Is the corn easier to manage than our previous plots (20:35)? Malcom went out to Texas to hunt some Axis deer, and he came back with a HAUL (23:06). Mark and Malcom took a trip out to North Dakota, and you wouldn’t BELIEVE the wildlife out there (27:56)! We are SMACK DAB in the middle of deer season, so if you ain’t out there, go hop in a stand (36:46)! Jamie’s had a full schedule here lately with both the Arkabulta Physically Challenged Hunt and Hope Outdoors (38:59). We’ve all had our fair share of mounts made, but these might just be the COOLEST mounts we’ve ever seen (43:30)! Finally, we’re closing out with heading back to the stands to hopeful tag and bag a few more bucks (45:51)!

Hunting Hogs in Texas & Fishing on the Great Lakes | Buck Junkie Podcast Episode 86
I usually spray and pray on my hunts 😭😭🤣
Love for you to explain how he did it
He needs to start eating more deer meat and less Casey’s pizza 😂
I’ve been using a thermal monocular for hunting for about a year year and a half now
Come back to Indiana, we’ll leave the light on for you. 🫡
Shut up and don't talk about it.
Bro yall got to quit announcing everything .its going to be illegal soon
Why are all deer hunters so fat ?
Probably not going to be legal for long. Most states have banned em
Guys with 70 pound double cam compound bows talkin about how they hate how technology has taken over hunting.
Eat your venison
Recovery yes, scanning for deer, no. Draw the line there.
Sadly not legal in Utah:/
Neither of you guys can slip out of anything, maybe start a gym review
Nite vision scope is even better you can see if they are bucks or does.. we can hunt 30 min after sun set it's awesome the last 10 minutes
Thermal is a game changer.
I love that boomers are finally listening and using the optics we have all been talking about for so long 😂
Check your state laws
There is absolutely no reason to be this damn big. It’s embarrassing and a shame
That dude ain’t slipping out of anything
First deer i took this season was with a 223 AR-15 with a ATN THOR THERMAL. The law here is you can’t use them at night.
Boogie2988 if he was a normal functioning human
In Missouri you can’t posses a thermal imaging device of any kind while bow or rifle deer hunting. Only exception is like yotes or maybe pigs if you are on private property
If its legal shooting light you should be able to see im your scope or binos. In my state its 30 min before sunrise and 30 min after sunset. If you need thermal, its too dark.
The thermal allows you to see the animal before it can see you. I’m talking hundreds of yards through the woods sometimes. Then you can get prepared and not be in a position where you can’t shoot at the approaching animal. It’s an amazing tool to have bow hunting
If you’re not alert enough in your hunting environment to spot a deer and have the time to wait for an ethical shot get out of the sport. You’re not a sportsman.
Sounds illegal
Yep it’s great. Also good for tracking
How does it help track? Interesting
If your Seeing this it’s prolly illegal now
This blob can barely shoulder a gun I imagine...
In Missouri we can't be in possession of a thermal while in possession of a bow or rifle.. we did open lights and thermal for coyotes for a month or so out of the year! Wow
If this guy could use a drone to hunt he definitely would use a drone to hunt.
So many shameless fudds in the comments. I thought this was America. Makes me sad to see so many people against freedom and recreation
Yep. Works well on coyotes in the dark too.
That's smart
Only secret weapon ol’ boy needs is a new diet/exercise regimen.
wtf happened to HUNTING? you should just call it killing, no HUNTING about it.
CHECK YOUR STATE REGULATIONS. Thermal, infrared, night vision, are all classified as “artificial light”. “Shining” is a prohibited practice in ALL hours, meaning that you very well could get charged with shining even while using these devices during legal shooting hours.
Thermal does not emit light unlike night vision try again
Seems like the aide of an electronic device to me, which is very illegal.
Range finder?
Shame isn't it?
Should be no electronic devices used to hunt.
Should be less rules controlling how people live and engage in recreation. My bad, I thought this was America
Whats he hunting buffets?
What have we done hunting is ruined by people like this guy
It sounds expensive 💰 most likely out of my price range Retired not much cash coming in
His secret weapon is cell phone for pizza delivery to his stand
That should be illegal to even own
Fudd
That turd hasn’t walked to hunt in three decades.. Gives the meat away because McDonalds doesn’t serve venison..
My state regulates night vision, but I'm not sure if they include thermal with it.
Shhhhh.
Legal and ethical are two entirely different things
Nothing unethical about being able to spot a deer?
I wonder what his tree stand is made of
He isn’t getting off the ground I guarantee that
Shut up man they don’t need to know about this shit😂
