Well I am back from the 2024 IDPA Southern Belle in Mississippi! This was the 4th Southern Belle and it did not disappoint - what a fun match! It was a balmy 80 degrees and not too humid at The Boondocks Firearm Training Academy in Raymond. We shot 11 challenging stages, met some new awesome women shooters and all of our Washington ladies came back with “Hardware”! Thank you to our Match Direct...

This was the IDPA Match at Paul Bunyan a couple of weeks ago. Thank you to the Match Director, Shawn Hallinan for creating a challenging match! I am still under the weather here and mess up on my round count a couple of times but I had a good time and I needed the practice for the Southern Belle. Enjoy!!

Thank you Corgi Nation Pistol Team for a fun and challenging Annual ASI Senior Classic! We all had a good time Saturday! I wasn’t my best, I am still getting over the crud I've have had for several weeks. I probably should have stayed home to rest up for the Southern Belle next weekend but that is for wimps and I needed the practice!! Enjoy!!

ASI Heavy Metal 8-5-23 Paul Bunyan Match with my Springfield Armory 9mm EMP

Here is last Saturday's ASI Match. This was a Heavy Metal match which meant we were encouraged to shoot all metal guns instead of the fantastic plastic type. Although my Rhino Revolvers are all metal, I chose to shoot my Springfield Armory 9mm EMP for a change of pace. Enjoy!!

Here is last Saturday's ASI Match. I took about a month long break from shooting (Kidney stone and then some camping). I can tell I am a bit rusty. More practice is needed. But it was still nice to get back shooting with my buddies. Enjoy!

Excellent control over that snappy little handgun!
Way to kick some major revolver division ass!!!
Good Job!
I enjoyed watching you shoot the course. Nice work!
Unless you are a Bob Munden like shooter, it is impossible to test all in one. You test the gun, the ammunition or the trigger. I used to get sad with my results until I fired a good gun with a well adjusted rear sight and factory wad cutters. 99% of the problem was not my fault. And good to see that even well trained shooters flinch. I pay between half and one dollar for each round in my country, I never have enough ammo to find reliable answers to my questions.
I love my Specialist

I am. There are several different types of ear protection. I prefer these because the regular earmuff type give me a headache. On Amazon: “Ultimate Earbuds Radians Ultimate Earbuds CEP001-P Industrial Safety Ear Plugs, Multi, One Size.” You just mix two types of silicone together and press them in your ear, wait 10 minutes and pull it out. It conforms to the shape of your ear. They last for several months or even years. You can also wear regular earmuffs on top for extra protection.

Congratulations,just bought one myself
Good stuff!
Congratulations Lady ❤
How do you like the rhino? Any light strikes ? I’m very interested in the pistol but recently was told to avoid it for being unreliable?
I love my Rhinos! I have a 38/357 & a .40 cal. The only light primer strikes I have experienced are because of Russian primers. When we switched to Federal primers I never experienced any more light strikes. The other problems I have had were corrected under warranty with Chiappa.
After purchasing my 605 .357 Magnum. I want another 1 bad 💯 This is the one I want❗
Good job, she handled that 45 well.
Congratulations. I have mine for EDC.
Hope you cleaned the bore before you shot it . Just a wipe with a dry patch to remove excess oil .
But of course!
Something no video can show is how miserable weather can affect your concentration and speed. They got rained on and hailed on, all at just a few degrees above freezing….and with wind!

I can't wait for the free Giveaway Contest! I hope I win!😀
Nice to see a Woman shooting a great revolver
They are finally coming down in price. I got the 6" one because I wanna be Rick Grimes lol
I have finally bought another 6" New Python to complete my second full set of Pythons. Sadly I have 6 Pythons two in each barrel length but haven't fired any of them. I think I will have to buy another 3" Python to be my shooter. I was careful and patient and bought 4 of them for msrp of $1499 and 2 of them on a special deal of $1449 each. Gunbroker is tough because the sellers there want a premium for their Pythons. But my local stores are competitive with each other and sell them at msrp.
@@kickit59 I would really like to know what you do for a living to afford all of that 🤔
@@emello4you Just a gun nut retired cabinet maker. Maybe overly enthusiastic where Pythons & Model 19 Smith & Wessons are concerned!
Nice shootin' !
Thank you!
Looks cold there! Mrs. Is getting too good at making it look easy. That's when the skills are seriously polished.
Super cold there! That steam is in the way. Haha!
It really wasn’t that cold. The sun was just shining on the frosty wood of Fort Runamuck.
Keep working on that speed and consistency!
Pretty fast loading:).
Thanks. It will be much faster once my speed loaders come in. They are on back order, as everything Python is…..
Very nice
Thank you
Good job!!!
Looks fun! making hits!
Wow that's a beautiful gun awesome video
Thank you!
Classic!!
Awesome control and shooting
Might join IDPA this weekend at Renton as well! I heard there's a lot of gear requirements and I wanna make sure me and my friends are bringing the right stuff there, what's exactly allowed and not allowed?
Good to here you are going! Unfortunately, I won’t be there but you can ask questions to Ben - he will be making targets, Marshall - he will be running around staging targets and stages (he has a long grey pony tail), Clint - will be setting up stages and Shawn Hallinan (he is a CSO - Chief Safety Officer). They are really good guys to get to know and squad with. First thing, you need to attend the New Shooter Orientation that starts at 9. I would recommend you get there at 8 to help with set up. Setting up a stage helps you understand how stages are run and is the fastest way to learn. For IDPA, you need a holster, mag pouches (at least two), a belt - that has to be laced through belt loops - you can skip two belt loops and a cover garment that covers your gun and mag pouches when arms are lifted to the sides. IDPA has different gun divisions, make sure you sign up for the correct division. If you have questions, you can ask when you get there.
Awesome run!!
Good job I just gotta gen 3 Now I want to go to a competition
Nice technique, good recoil control for sure. Sharp Dan Wesson you have there…. I have the 10mm variant and liking it a lot, though the break in is proving to be much more effort than I had naively not thought much about prior to getting it. Anyway, sure it will plane out to be 100% sweet consistently after this break in. I think these guns DW makes are the bees knees of production guns for sure. Oh, how did your break in period go for you? Just curious if you had to “tend to it a lot” during the first few hundred rounds or so
I really did not have a “break in” period with mine, it has always been extremely reliable out of the box. I did make a few changes though. Because of my small hands, I went to thinner grips and a “short” trigger. Also, I changed out the sights to Tru-Glo sights, polished my feed ramp to a mirror like finish and changed out the recoil spring to a 16 pound Wilson Combat - 2 pounds lighter than stock for match shooting.
Aren't you glad you listened to your Hubby and tried the HellCat?
😒 『p』『r』『o』『m』『o』『s』『m』
Wow. Very nice. Great shooting.
Dirty cylinder causing drag on rotation? That would be bad.
It’s more, dirty chambers and rounds don’t seat all the way down when I do a reload. This causes the cylinder to bind, so I have to open the cylinder and rotate it a bit to push the round(s) down. It is much better than when I first started shooting the gun. When I clean the gun, I polish the chamber holes with a felt Dremel tip and Mother’s Mag Polish. This has helped tremendously.
I have the same gun but in 10 mm it’s the best for me
