I’d probably cut the ex6 lady dev to 3 for it at that point 😂 I wanted to fit at least an X Anti (protoforms are wayyyy too expensive) and I think if I did, it’d be to cut out to one mirei

De-digivolve is honestly just such a strong mechanic. It's the bane of my existence.

With the level 4s, I only opted for three of the landromon that chest out tamers because in most matches, you'll probably proactively play tamers making the effect useless. The promo landromon is a 4 because it opens up lines of play for most situations that will help you get out of low memory situations. The golemon helps as a pseudo way to "remove" threats like ACE digimon and high DP boss monsters. It didn't come up much in testing but when it works it can swing the game in your favor. The last piece is the hybrid. It's great because if you ever search for it, once your opponent sees it, it forces them to make suboptimal plays knowing you can hybrid for game. Also don't be afraid to use it proactively as you can get it back with the scramble if need be.

The 5 slot has me going back and forth, but I think the MVP is definitely BT4 gogmamon. It can make your digimon big enough to trade and survive DP thresholds of opponents effects. It's a card that shows off player skill more than everything else in the deck. Only play one of the new gogmamon because this build relies heavily on the Close tamers and trashing them on the deleting effect can lose you the game outright. Progano is mostly used for the inherited effect, but I tend to see it enough to keep it at three.

The boss monster himself is at four for obvious reasons lol. I've tested more megas alongside this, but I feel like none really work. My favorite experiment was with the black digi-burst metalgarurumon. It's one of my favorite cards and although you can't take advantage of the inherited effects when trashing, you can hit play cost 6 digimon or trash a security on the Evo. If y'all have recommendations I'd love to hear them!

As for tamers, this is more of a personal choice, but I believe the memory setter is the more important tamer. That is why I have it at three where most others I've seen have it at two. This deck crumbles (🥁) without sources, so making sure you're able to add them on the evolve is a priority. So for me a 3/3 split of the tamers feels right. I've also seen the "analog youth" builds, but don't actually own any sooooooo I can't speak on that version 😅

Lastly, options! Breath of the gods at two feels good because it'll save you from bounce effects as well as DP minus, both which are prevalent right now. In security, it can buy you a much needed turn since this deck relied heavily on setting up for the OTK. Iron fist is there because most will play around the rock option by having small bodies on the field, but this will kill any of the Top end digimon not immune to effects, and potentially be reduced if you bait out the use of an ACE digimon. If i had to make a change, I would swap one of the rock options for a kongou. It can save you from rush (Marcus OTK, NSo, hybrids), and can be used to round out protection from skadi, while also denying yellow vaccine from security stacking. This deck has a lot of room to play with, and I hope you guys watching this will experiment and find new ways to build this. Thank you for reading if you got this far!

oh my god you're aboslutely correct ;A; I swore I had 50 and I think its because I was just switching so much stuff around during testing omg. Honestly, I would just stick another level five or I ended up adding a Hiro as my second tamer

@@ArtDadDraws honestly that’s a good idea- the only alts I’ve had in this set so far are ones I’ve pulled or just traded away within the case pulls.the only ones I kept we Medieval alts bc I think those are super worth it in the long run (I like shiny cardboard 😭)

@@baderrmn it’s actually my favorite jsur bc it’s so colorful but also I strongly think EX8 is a good set to build within for the most part and it’s nice having a set that you need maybe 6-8 cards at most from other sets for some of the decks

@ only took the regular Rena X, the playset of the BT17 Renamon and 3 Sakuya X alts + a fourth Kuzuha Alt for no particular reason 😂

@ yeah! I remember when they announced it bc we were excited for the 3M player in our group. They were I think originally the Chinese tamer battle prizing so it’s nice that Bandai is at least making all the cards for all the different regions global

@rejigglypuff yep I'd rather spend maybe $20 on singles of scrambles for the decks I play and leave it at that. The shops in my area really don't take care of their spaces and make it clear they're just trying to milk people for their money when they can. Maybe one day I can convince the one good shop in my area to give Digimon a go. They've at least offered to get product for Digimon people. I'll see about ordering with them from now on.

Yeah online isnt better pre sales before release date were ok but i stupidtly waited and the day they said the release date bumm up to 60+ plus anohter 5~ for shipping, great.

@@BlackstaUchia yikes, seriously a bummer dude. I'd consider it if literally anything else in the box was actual useful. It also sounds like a lot of folks are waiting on singles to appear on the market so I wonder if these box sets will end up dropping on price super hard.

@@ArtDadDraws I’m so sad bc my store is running them two weeks in a row (and I really don’t have anyone to blame but me) but I’m going to be out of the country so I have to hope some other places are running them when I’m back. I would still build some on the side! You never know if Bandai will bring it back
