they did not shut down the whole marketplace, what they shut down, was the ability to download games on xbx 360, to ease the stress on the xbox servers, for best perfomance on xbox one and forwards.

The good thing is that xbox 360 has a great amount of physical media just around ready to buy who is willing to look for it, sort of like the days before online market places
Why bother buying when Microsoft itself gave the green light to piracy? (when it closed the store)

@@Motscoud It was ironic. If Microsoft closes the store and no longer sells games for this platform, the only way you can get games is through piracy. Calm down, this whole ethics and piracy thing is just a fallacy of moralists. No one stops earning a salary because someone decided to download games on a flash drive, unless it was an indie game made by a guy (even then, you would only be screwing 30% of the guy and 60% of the distributor).
And when you go to buy it will give you an error. You can do the same thing with trial Arcade games - start the trial and pick the option to buy the full game, it opens the store page but when you try to buy it there's an error.

@thekernel69 No Spyro game, including Skylanders, on Xbox or Xbox 360 is available on Xbox One & Xbox Series consoles via backwards compatibility.

yes if the stuff is compatible with xbox one/series x/s then it's still available and can be downloaded and played on your xbox 360
I know but press X button will be head the search menu and type any non backwards game like Spyro i did but the sudden you have use credit card or gift card to get any non backwards game on 360 game just like PS3 store a while back

And you see guys since PS3 never left now for Xbox 360 go to my games and press any games and press a button to search games and dlc and surprise you can still get games on 360 and dlc but you need to add gift card or credit card to balance account in order to get.
You can't still buy games on the 360, try to fully purchase a game on there, it's disabled, all you can do is view the games and prices
All it will do is give you an error code if you try to press purchase, and by purchase i mean the final screen before your game downloads
