    Why does it sound like “surviving CELTA “?? Why? It must be pleasant memories after course but not like a horror period. 3 acquaintances of mine told me about it. They did course in Ukraine. I am from Ukraine. And I am afraid of not the course itself but what attitude will be to me😮, critics and so forth.

    My biggest fear is to pay money for this course and get “pass”. Why then???? “Pass” is nothing. You will be treated then, abroad, like nothing… the teachers with “pass” are requiring help in this case. Fear number 2 is to be criticized. Yes, teachers are literally being in tears at this course. I don’t have strong nervous system, I don’t want to cry every day and see nightmares then. And I would say it’s overestimated.

    I am Japanse living in London for many years. I am thinking of returning to Japan this year or next year and taking CELTA as a 'token' of living in London. I am not a teacher, but I want to work for state schools where all kinds of students can go regardless of whether they are intelligent or not and whether their family is wealthy or not. But the thing is, CELTA may be overqualification for working in state schools in Japan. Most English teachers in Japan can't speak English at all. So, I think CELTA is a too different teaching method for Japanese students. I will be in an interview next week and will ask the interviewer about it. Thank you for sharing your experience.

    Why do all CELTA promoters and students seem to be non native speakers. I’m English and living in France considering the CELTA but increasingly have the impression that it’s not for native speakers?

    Hello Martha, I’d really like to say thank you for having clarified some of my doubts. I would like to take the CELTA course on site. But I have two locations in mind, one is San Sebastián Spain and the second option is England, I’m not sure about the city yet. The Spanish option is because some of my relatives live there, and the place is beautiful. The second choice is because I’ve heard that the certification is more appreciated when it’s taken in an English speaking country’ I’ve already lived in an English speaking country before (USA) on the contrary I’m from a Spanish speaking country like Spain, I don’t know how influential can the place where you take the course be when it comes to getting a job.

      Each centre across the globe has to meet the requirements set by the University of Cambridge. No matter where you take your course (either face-to-face, online or mixed) and in what format (full-time or part-time) you will receive the same certificate after successfully completing your course.

    I think that language school prefer to contract one native person. Families prefer study English with a native speaker. I definitely know that Spanish teachers are super good teachers, but the families prefer English and American teachers. Please, if you are looking for job and you have the Celts and you are native, let me know. Thanks. If you are Spanish I recommend you to study a second language apart from English. It is more worth it.

    Hello Marta, I’m a new subscriber. I have a question please. In the pre-reading stage can we use only one? I mean can we chose only predictions or per-reading or do we do them both? Thanks for your input and reply 🌹✌️

    • @RuyG
      @RuyG ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, kenza! The quality of your pre-reading makes all difference in the other parts. If you have time to do both, maybe more, that'd be great, as long as you have time enough. If you do it in rush, they might feel pressured and mess up their productivity. ;)
