This is how I charge my deep brain stimulator (DBS) battery. The stimulator is located in my chest with the leads going to my globus palladus to help calm movement. I have kernicterus which resulted in athetoid dystonic cerebral palsy (CP).

Justin had deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery in June 2015 to help calm movement. He has kernicterus and athetoid cerebral palsy as a result of severe newborn jaundice. Prior to surgery he could sit for 5 to 10 seconds before falling over. In August, he could sit for 1 min 30 sec and now is up to about 3 minutes. 5 weeks post-DBS surgeries to help calm movement for athetoid cerebral palsy secondary to kernicterus. Justin sat for about 1 min 40 seconds. Pre-DBS he could sit for 5-10 seconds before toppling over.
This kid is going to end up homeless.

Hey Justin, Kris and Mike, I have been using something called Otter on my phone to do interviews. Like the one you are using it is not perfect, but thought I'd suggest another app that transcribes what is said for you to explore. I have an android phone so I got it in the Google Play Store. I found it when I did a google search on transcribing options for my research interviews and it came up as the top choice. You get 600 minutes free a month, can save the transcript and even send it (via email). I've done a couple of interviews and still need to experiment with it more. I just learned that there might be a way to connect an external microphone which might help pick up voices/conversation better?
