    Hey G.K. that is one snazzy looking bass! Just for your info not that it really matters 'Thoman' is pronounced as 'Toe man' with a silent H ( I took Grade 13 German in high school lol). You sounded English a bit in there like me lol! Look forward to your playing review soon! 👍

    What’s your opinion on the zoom b1x vs the zoom ms-60B+? The multistomp has the new phone app control but the b1 seems like it’d be quicker to use mid-song. I play mostly church stuff so I’m just trying to find something quick and easy to fill the role of tuner, compressor, and preamp.

      I went from the MS-60B, to the B1 Four for the convince actually. The one button on the MD-60b was hard to work around. The B1 Four having 2 buttons helped quite a bit.

    How to record with this?

    • @MUSICIANGeeK
      @MUSICIANGeeK 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That depends on a couple of things. 1st, do you already have a D.A.W.? That is a program that you use for recording on your PC or Mac known as a Digital Audio Workstation. 2nd do you have a recording interface, or would you want to sue this unit as the recording interface? You can do either or. In you don't have a D.A.W., you need to get one for your PC or Mac computer. If you don't have a recording interface, you can use the GP-100 as the recording interface. Just download the ASIO driver from the Valeton Website, Connect the GP-100 to the PC or Mac via USB, & have your D.A.W. use the ASIO driver for the GP-100

    Only reason to sign would be that mainstream still somehow thinks that it means something that you are signed, like you would be officially an artist now. That tought is changing, but record companies tries to keep it well alive and only plusses are IF you are a good source for them. They will buy you bots so you get to the meaningless lists from where.. these.. people who does not care get's their music. Also to radio/clubs which is big time tied to rob musicians. Radio especially. There is now zero play for an unknown new artists and they force hits by the radio. Then people think that say hip hop's bar is somewhere.. say Drake. Do not get that there is thousands of guys who could have done his job, he is (was) just the label made one mans boyband. Ok, with hiphop it's changing again to a better direction. Still an average consumer does not understand that the bar is somewhere on hip hop and writing with Lupe Fiasco, Black Tought, Aesop Rock etc. It's same with every genre really, even pop music. There is still this notion that someone got radio play because they are sooo gooood. So if signing, only doing minimum album deal of 1 or if having to 2 and knowing you are good for the debt. Then not renegotiating, you are known, take much safer loan with better interest from bank loan money and do the album by contacts developed/yourself having learned what needs to do so. It's also not like you Have To learn mix and master. You ofc can always just get a studio you like and vibe with their ideas about your music to collab with.

    This is why BTS and their company are making the music industry so furious -- both here and in Korea -- and are refused radio spins and an honest shake in the west. It is why they have been pigeonholed as a silly little boyband with a "few" hits (despite their discography of over 400 collective songs ranging from rap to pop to R&B to ballads to latin pop to jazz and neosoul). They have never played the payola game (making each member and their CEO millionaires by preserving their money) and have gotten where they are through organic growth over a decade of grinding away and making their own way in an industry that wants the same old cookie cutter group. You will not find a more loyal fandom than theirs, even rivaling those sweet old Swifties. Since 2013, BTS has had a grassroots ground swell of success while preserving their integrity, and their fans will go to war with anyone who attempts to invade their private lives or attempt character assassination on any member. That loyalty fills stadiums around the world year after year. Way back when they debuted, their company was going bankrupt and they were told they would never succeed because they were not part of The Machine. But their music and ever-growing connection with fans forced the industry to finally give them a seat at the table, leading to their first Billboard Award in 2017 for Top Social Artist. Little did the industry expect BTS would quickly make their "best" artists look like chumps. Once they did, they set out to downplay and box them into a "boy band" category. Especially when they realized BTS's company and CEO could not be bought. Now, everyone for the past seven-eight years has been mimicking all the things BTS did to hit their global success, scrambling to be the next BTS (and failing spectacularly), all while failing to realize why they're so successful -- their authenticity, their focus on their own message and sound, their dedication, and being fearless in their song experimentation and mastery. Not to mention their humble approach to the industry, their loyalty to each other and their fans, and their refusal to bow down to the demands of The Machine. Their messages and album decisions have since become catchy sound clips and "concepts" for newer artists -- they are the trend to follow and create generic knockoffs from. A reality that is giving the impression that BTS is just like every other "kpop" band, when in fact, they are pioneers who have branched every which way collectively and with its seven members solo careers (they have all had solo work since the beginning). They blew the lid off kpop expectations and several acts are trying to replicate what they are -- writers, producers, underground rappers, vocalists, musicians, actors, and directors all in one explosive group. BTS has influenced everything from social media culture to the new trend of creating ongoing storylines within their music videos, short films, books, webtoons, and video games. By 2019, they were big enough they could make some throw-away English pop songs during lockdown and have them blow up the US market. And those are -- by far -- not their best songs. They only put them out while living in the limbo of their canceled world tour and planning to enlist in the military. They had always been known for their underground rap background, societal criticisms, and philanthropy long before they ever sang about butter or dynamite. They, and their company ( which is currently under fire by The Machine in the Korean payola scene), are the only thing giving me hope for music. I pray and pray more bands are able to bypass The Machine like them and hit it so big. Good guys can win sometimes.

      @QQ-Rin_w the gp100 has good tone. I tried to explore the nr. I usually use high gain amps. I landed on the nr adjustment to 30 on threshold 40-50 on attak 30 on release. The nr2 is much better on the nr 1

    • @eloy4672
      @eloy4672 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @QQ-Rin_w another downside of the gp100 is the arrangement and groupings of the efx. U cant use 2 or more mods at once. U cant use comp and wah or pitch shift at the same time. But it has good tone in fairness. It will be in good use in small outdoor gigs.

    The thing with the Stomp, compared to any other compact modeller or profiler, is that it can be many things and do those things well. I agree with the Ampero Stomp being the closest competitor, another guitarist I play with has one and it does essentially the same thing while costing less without sounding cheaper (especially when IRs come into play), but the only thing it's missing is a "scene/snapshot" mode making it a bit harder to use as an all in one live solution in some cases

    • @MUSICIANGeeK

    I don't know how I feel about 8' speakers. I had a vox vd15 with the diamond grill a few years ago and it always sounded kinda buzzy. I play with a yamaha thr30 now and only has 3" speakers but they're nearfield speakers and I really like the distortion sounds i get from them but maybe i just like the modeling better in the yamaha, i also like the katana amps for their features and that they can be just a bit more saturated in gain than the orange, marshal, or fender, and i think they can also connect to a speaker cab which gives you alot of flexibility on scaling up or down the volume.

    • @MUSICIANGeeK

      I like 12s for Guitar, & 10s for Bass on top, & a 18 on the bottom, & 15s for P.A. speakers. There are outliers also. Amp modelling has come pretty far. I'm here for it.

    • @MUSICIANGeeK
      @MUSICIANGeeK หลายเดือนก่อน

      You can plug into to with Headphones, bit to go into a speaker, you need an amp. If you are plugging into a amp with a speaker, turn off the amp modelling, & speaker blocks. You don't want to run a virtual amp & cabinet into an actual amp & cabinet. You can also plug into a plain power amp & FRFR speaker, & turn the amp & cab blocks on. You can also plug into a amps FX loop, & use the amp block as the preamp. Tons of options. The sky is the limit.
