Rebranding Christianity

Christianity is known for a lot of things these days. Labeled as intolerant or hateful, the true heart of the Christian faith has been buried underneath an onslaught of bad attention and bad press. We’ve failed our brand. In John 13, Jesus gave us the brand―radical love. Christians are known for many things today but love is not one of them. Here’s what worked for me: before I took the assessment I did this gratitude meditation that Tony Robbins walks you through where your heart and mind are aligned and you’re in a beautiful state. th-cam.com/video/60ykZiEzQ-s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ATRn8dIWOqhnIFYm At the end Tony has you answer the question and if you can take the assessment while being in a beautiful state and being as dirt honest with yourself as human possible (stay out of your head) that’ll give you the best result!

    I think that christians are an influence more then they realize! Not us, but God in a Christian! I think instead of trying to appeal to the sinners, taking a long reflection on a person's personal savings being a christoan. That which has been saved. That who has saved us which is Jesus Christ and the love for God through all things will ignite the spirit in life! His holy word. The living word of God we get to read! The healing spirit of God. I am 43. I've been a christoan for 37 years baptized! I love God. Reading from Ephesians 6:7. When a person has a worry, those should be the cause and faith in God and Jesus Christ and his holy guidance our way to solve communities issues! Let us remember when Jesus Saviour brought us to needs! Let us pray to God in our trust to help us tackle those issues as Christians not misleading or blaspheming. Let christians be reassurance and trust entirely on the power that God is and has! Amen. Peace

    Thank you for putting this together. I have the gift of discernment and enablement. Something I'm not hearing in these videos is what our two working geniuses tell us about our most common sins! Also what temptations we are most likely to fall into. Such information could help us grow in holiness!

    • @IrresistibleChurchNetwork
      @IrresistibleChurchNetwork ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! This may not be specific to D/E's -- but I think you could apply this to all pairings. Some of our most common temptations may be: 1) Applying our Geniuses when it's not time for them. Do you apply your D/E whether it's at an appropriate stage of a project or not? It's often said that the timing of our Geniuses may be more important than the talent of our Geniuses. 2) Do we judge others unfairly when they are not able to ________ like we can (because they have different Geniuses than we do). Fill in the blank with your own Geniuses. For example.... if you are T person, do you look down on other people that are not able to complete things that are easy for you to get across the finish line? 3) Do we hold onto guilt when we are not as easily able to _____ like other people can. Fill in the blank with your frustrations. For 2 and 3 -- we were created to need each other. Think about 1 Corinthians 12:14-18 which was part of the inspiration for this model

    Very interested in the Working Genius...we currently use Strengthsfinder (for the staff and our parishioners), but love that this tool is really directed at the workday and would be more helpful for the staff. Just wondering if there's been any discussion around the delicate balance between 'loaning' one of your geniuses and having to rewrite everyone's job descriptions because they're no longer 'staying in their lane'?

    • @IrresistibleChurchNetwork
      @IrresistibleChurchNetwork 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Sue -- Great question! We've used tools like StrengthFinders as well in addition to Working Genius. As you noted, many of these assessments feel like they are about personality or temperament, but WG's unique angle is about projects and work -- and how all the stages interact with each other. You're also right that there's a delicate balance between rewriting people's job descriptions and allowing them to work primarily in their Geniuses. A couple of things to keep in mind. First, every job is a six letter job. So, everyone will have some work in their frustrations. WG just allows people some self-awareness and potentially gives them a chance to plan ahead and save enough energy for the things that require the most energy of them. Second, if someone is working primarily in their frustrations, then they may burn out in their role or leave for something different when given the chance. Hence, it's in everyone's best interest in helping people work toward more work in their Geniuses while also recognizing that in the short-term, it may not be possible to just move people around and have everyone in their sweet spot. Please reply back if this helps and let's keep the conversation going!
