เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 24 ม.ค. 2011
This Channel contains theology that comforts and assures the faithful of the love that Jesus has for them. Jesus loves you. He died for you. He rose for you. He comes to you in the means of grace to forgive you that your sins may be remembered no more. This is the Truth that sets you free and gives you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Great conversation again! I have the privilege of serving at a parish alongside a senior pastor. We would both agree that it is a great blessing to share the work of the ministry with each other for a great many reasons.
They need to make a movie about the Stigler-Brown incident, about a German pilot that rescued a crippled American bomber. 40 years after the war, the two pilots met and became best friends. Another great movie would be the Battle of Castle Itter.
Good to see Pastor Wietfeldt still going strong over there.
Keto was also one of the few things that worked for me. The difficulty is that while I can maintain it for a while, it's easy to stay off the horse when I fall off of it, and hard to get back on. Pastors in particular I think have an interesting challenge with every potluck, and every well-intentioned parishioner sharing delicious food and inviting you over for dinner or out for coffee to talk, it feels really awkward to decline or to show up to a meal with someone and then not eat anything because it's all been lovingly fried, breaded, and/or frosted. I like what you said about it being PART of the job to stay fit, however and as much as you can. It's not an optional thing that you can do if you have free time outside of your job, but it needs to be part of the upkeep of the pastor in his office. Good on y'all for talking about this kind of stuff, it's absolutely essential.
This is an excellent conversation. I've been on the health & fitness journey since last year. A predominant driver has been my family & congregation. (I actually discussed this in a recent video I posted to my channel.) th-cam.com/video/da5l2hBPmsk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HeaiIwLwA0-SmLFU
We were those Godparents that gave the "Lord, Thee I Love" book to their Godson.
Chris Hull my first time hearing your message very helpful on confession
Amen
This was enlightening, brother. I really enjoyed it. I am not a Lutheran, attend a baptist church, but grew up ELCA. What matters is that we know we are saved by grace alone through faith alone. You said it, by receiving him in faith. Love the excitement you show on giving the message. Denomination doesn't matter. Christ matters! Continue to preach the gospel, my friend.
Kyle Kasten Your de-emphasis of denominationalism, simply stated would be, for the most part doctrine doesn't matter.
I am so glad God made the hole world
Thank you Sir
Great sermon, God is good.
Great sermon. God is good.
Amen! Great exposition of the Gospel - a balanced presentation of both Law and Gospel! Walther would be proud! ; )
Thank You for posting these videos May God Bless You Pastor .
Jesus does not so much deal with your failures as does He drop them down the black hole of Jesus' death. He forgets your sins in the darkness of the tomb. He remembers your iniquities no more in the forgetfulness of Jesus' death. He finds you in the desert of death, not in the garden of improvement. And in the power of Jesus' resurrection, He puts you on His shoulders, rejoicing, and brings you home! Robert Farrar Capon, Parables of Grace pg. 39
I found a sermon by Dr. Paulson of Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota very helpful in the writing of this sermon. You can go to the Luther Seminary websie and go to the chapel archive to listen and watch his sermon. I believe it was on Dec. 8th.
I am grateful for the great preaching of Rev. David Peterson which assisted me in the formation of this sermon. God bless the proclamation that comes through the mouths of Christ's called and sent servants.
Dude, you need some samurai swords on the back wall.
