Haha, this was such a fun video! Out of everything you mentioned The Hard Way and Ricochet are the only ones I haven't watched, but now I need to correct that. I'd need Mel Gibson's Payback on the list lol I love that one. I was happy to see Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man in the trailer. You should check out If Looks Could Kill with Richard Grieco. If you like the fun action movies.

Just finished watching the video , great choices in the good / bad categories and some fun conversations . I haven't seen MadS yet , added to my watchlist . I have read Intensity , seen the 2 part miniseries ( it's online ) and Haute Tension stole the best parts but made the better content . The book or the miniseries does not have the same twist ending as Haute and McGinley as the killer in Intensity was terrible casting . Cheers 🍻 Tom

What I can't fathom is how someone watches Last Action Hero and doesn't see a perfect movie. Let alone criticizing it for falling short of some supposedly better premise. It's fun, it's funny, it's over the top. I cant find anything wrong with it. Definitely among my favorite films.

Great movie and well performances from Harris and Connery! “BONDS” facial expressions are as great response to Harris’s! Rhythm and Fabric of this film is awesome!!! One of my favorites! Deserves a second watch!!!😮

It is kind of interesting separating Horror from Sci Fi and Or seeing also Some being both at times too.

I missed out on Voting for 1976. I Will Vote For The Omen with a Honorable Mention I saw it in the theaters with my Family I will pick King Kong The Remakeish.

Mark Kermode is the GOAT horror movie critic. He’s always given us so many hours of great horror content and never dismisses any horror the way Ebert and Siskel did

The scene where the vampire tries to attack Ben was utterly horrifying, imho!!! Massive Rob fan, lol! The new one has good & bad parts, however as a fan of the excellent 79 version, i always enjoy watching all incarnations of if it, just in case. 😉

1979 Salems Lot I can describe it in 4 words. The stuff of nightmares. Return to Salems Lot avoid, 2004 Salems Lot wasn’t scary. And Rob Lowes narrating the story wasn’t needed because the town and the characters set the scene.

This was a decent remake with an adequate cast and similarly with the Thing prequel kind of unremarkable

Both are very good. The original has some very cheesy moments. It scared me as a child, but watching as an adult it’s very clearly a tame made for tv show. Still watchable but dated. The remake needed more tension. New subscriber. Really enjoyed watching your video

Dr. Kermode would make a great host discussing the power of disturbing public information films too. He also should've delved into more family-friendly horrors like CORALINE and MONSTER HOUSE?

Another great video essay by Dr. Kermode. I'm not entirely convinced that GET OUT is a horror film, more of a satire or dark comedy thriller touching on racial issues though.

Great documentary but I'm one of the few people who never found horror films to be scary. I love them. I've been a horror gal since I was very young. Horror was an escape from reality for me. Still is really. Real life is scary. Not movies. I find horror endlessly entertaining and exciting. I've been collecting Blu-rays now for years and have a nice collection. I love losing myself in these movies. Some of my favorites include Nightmare on Elm Street, Black Christmas, Psycho, Child's Play, The Kindred (1987), Dolls, The Blob, and The Changeling

I just finished the movie. Good watch.

The weird thing is, the author of the novel that the film's based on, Peter Van Greenway, wrote another novel. That was called, TAKE THE WAR TO WASHINGTON. In that novel, A group of disgruntled Vietnam veterans, crash a plane with the US President , into the Pentagon! Also in that novel, another group hijack an battleship. They lay waste to New York! I am not sure if the Twin Towers were hit, though?
