Angus Burke Piping
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ก.พ. 2007
Angus Burke has been playing the Great Highland Bagpipe since 1998, when he started at the age of eight. In the intervening years he has performed with several pipe bands, traveling the globe for competitions and performances as parts of ensembles. He also has an extensive solo performance career, performing special occasions, parties, and competing at the top level of amateur piping where he has won top prizes in international contests in both Canada and the United States. On top of all of this, he also teaches in the Southern Indiana, USA region. He also composes bagpipe music and plays the Scottish Smallpipes.
Here you'll find videos of his competition performances, hired performances, tune demonstrations for compositions, as well as tune recordings for students on the bagpipe's learning instrument, the practice chanter.
Angus currently plays with the grade 2 Greater Midwest Pipe Band based in Battle Creek, Michigan and is the current president of the Bloomington Pipers' Society.

What a birl, great playing
Very well done, Angus! You're an inspiration to me!
Love the buzz of the drones to chanter...what are they here?
Good piping.
LOVED IT!
great birls!
Angus, really enjoyed uR tune set - great choice in tunes... Look forward to listening to more
How do I get my drones to gurgle like that before I strike in?
I have the same question and I have zero idea
I have a hard enough time just getting it all to work properly... I am in no position to even ask what I just asked lol@@Chad973
Try not to push through as much air that will make the drones to gurgle like that😊
Every embellishment so clear! Wonderful to hear it!
Thanks for posting this..learning the J.Reid Maxwell snare drum beating to '79th Farewell to Gibraltar' as well as our band is playing 'Prince Charles Welcome to Lochaber' so I have both tunes right here to practice to. Nice job
Brilliant piping…..loved this……a pleasure to listen to.
Go h-álainn.
CLEAN fingerwork! Salute!
well done brother, I would have loved to listen to all 6 Parts. But except from this I really enjoyed listening to you. Good 6/8 swing and nicely sounding pipes.
Wow! Little Hands is spectac!
Great tune, great piping…..and the best thing is that this is so blazingly difficult that i am not even tempted to try it.
The curlew is a great jig. One of the best. This performance is everything that jig derserves.
Such a wonderful sounding instrument..well done Angus!
Very nice....thank you.
One of your drones is out of tune
How lovely this is, slowed down!!! Just beautiful. And i love the standard ("slightly faster") version. But again - this is a welcome alternative. Thank you for posting!
Two of my favourite 6/8s!
Brought here by a fan of the tune. WTH man.
Very well done young man.
Nice! Pipe on brother…a little faster than we play it but fine nonetheless.
