In this episode of learn to Paint Like Rembrandt, I continue working on my "Mother & Child" painting, focusing on Chiaroscuro, the strong light/dark effect. And Glazing techniques to achieve rich, warm skin tones and a dramatic background. Rembrandt mastered light and shadow by using one dominant light source, often from a high angle, illuminating the subject dramatically! That's why I like to paint like Rembrandt in this painting.
